Luke Littler retained his PDC World Darts Championship title and scooped the top prize of £1million by thrashing Gian van Veen 7-1 at the Alexandra Palace.
The record-breaking teenager, who finished runner-up on debut to Luke Humphries in 2024 before becoming the youngest ever world champion 12 months later at the age of 17, becomes just the fourth player in history to lift the Sid Waddell Trophy in back-to-back years.

Littler joins Phil Taylor, Adrian Lewis and Gary Anderson in this elite group of legends while he's now won 19 of his 20 matches on this stage and remarkably averaged over 100 in 16 of them.
On this occasion he managed 105 - helped by 15 180s and a 170 checkout - as he won seven sets in a row after van Veen took the opener.

To put that into context, only Taylor (56), Michael van Gerwen (43) and Anderson (25) have done it more yet he's only just come to the end of his third World Championship.
This latest triumph also means he's won 10 major titles after just two full seasons, making him just the fourth player to reach double figures in the PDC behind Taylor (79), MVG (48) and James Wade (11), while he's now pocketed career earnings of just over £3,700,000.
Luke Littler's second world title means he now has TEN major titles in just two years! That puts him fourth on the all-time list 🤯🤯

Littler told Sky Sports about the prize money: "It is life-changing. Even for this tournament, the first round was doubled.
"This win has increased that gap from Luke Humphries and I'm in the clear for No 1."
The world number one paid tribute to van Veen, saying: "Gian, what a tournament, he can be very happy. Every set he was there and behind me. I had to take my chances.
"We are always going to have battles. The Pro Tour, Euro Tour, majors.

"Maybe we might come back here in the final in 2027! We will play so many times and he knows he's in the Premier League, so we will battle week in, week out."
I didn't think it would be like this. I've been practising, the family and friends have always been there to support me, the sponsors have been there.
"This is why we are here and it's not stopping any time soon.
🤯 Luke Littler's tournament winning averages for his 10 major titles are incredible. Only Phil Taylor and MVG managed this so regularly. pic.twitter.com/LsIukdkFU1

On becoming a two-time world champion at 18 years old, Littler said: "I didn't think it would be like this. I've been practising, the family and friends have always been there to support me, the sponsors have been there.
"This is why we are here and it's not stopping any time soon.
"It's very special. We have to keep going, keep adding more titles. We can't stop here. This year, last year, the year before, we are still on this rollercoaster."
Van Veen had comfortably been the second best player of the tournament having thrashed Luke Humphries 5-1 in the quarter-finals and also producing a mesmerising performance to beat Gary Anderson in the semi-finals, while his average of 108 in the second round was the highest of the tournament.
However, he couldn't live with Littler in the final and told Sky Sports: "No, he definitely wasn't in the mood to give me anymore chances. He played phenomenal. He put me under pressure every leg, every set, and I missed too many chances today to make it a game.
The last time we'll ever hear John McDonald introduce the players.

What an incredible career with the PDC that started way back in 2007 👏👏pic.twitter.com/9ua73EftKf
"He's a fantastic player which is why he's world number one by a margin now. That's why he's back-to-back world champion.
"I would have liked to pick up the title, but I would have liked to give Luke a game and that's what I didn't do. I lost too many legs and I missed too many chances. Looking back at this tournament I'm very proud to have got to the final. Number three in the world and Dutch number one.
"I'm very proud of this achievement but also disappointed."
