First run since leaving Brian Toomey when last of 14 in handicap at this course (7f, 50/1) 28 days ago. Hardly an obvious one on recent efforts but his stable is enjoying a purple patch so worth a second look in the betting.
Losing run dates back to January 2024 but he's posted plenty of useful efforts in good-quality handicaps since. Lurks on a dangerous mark now returned to a surface which has often brought out the best in him.
This 5-y-o was having only the fourth start of his career when making a winning handicap debut at Kempton (1m) in January, overcoming pace bias. Off since. Should be more to come from a lightly-raced sort who has Billy Loughnane doing the steering.
Won this race last year and all 4 of her career wins have been on all-weather, the latest over C&D in February. Reported to have run flat when well held at the Northumberland Plate meeting but she's capable of bouncing back.
Recorded back-to-back 7f wins at Carlisle last September. Stepped forward from reappearance when third of 10 at Haydock (7f) last month but well held over 1m at Nottingham since.
Well held on Chester handicap and turf debut last month but displayed significant promise in 1m all-weather novices prior to that. No surprise were he to bounce back with a bang returned to tapeta with cheekpieces also added.
C&D winner. 11/1, good second of 5 in handicap at Doncaster (1m, firm) 50 days ago, closing all way to line. Enters calculations.
Back on form for new stable when third of 9 in handicap at Chester (7.6f, good to firm) 14 days ago. Needs to build on that now.
Only reasonable effort this year came when fourth of 8 at Ripon in April and he's hard to fancy on recent showings.
Successful twice last year, including 1¼m here. Made the frame on C&D reappearance in March but has struggled in 4 turf outings since. Needs a return to this venue to spark a revival.
Course winner over 5f in January but has lost his way since. It remains to be seen whether a significant step up in trip improves matters.
More like it when runner-up over C&D on last 2 starts but he's now 25 runs without success and has to race from 3 lb out of the handicap here.

PENNY TIME met trouble on his handicap and turf debut last time. This son of Mehmas, the sole 3-y-o in this line-up, had done well in novice races on all-weather prior to that and can resume his progression back on an artificial surface. Fellow low-mileage sort Fight Your Corner rates an obvious danger under Loughnane, while Fantastic Fox and Callianassa are much more exposed but have good records over C&D.
