Tenth of 11 in handicap at Haydock (6f, good to firm, 8/1) 23 days ago. Visor on 1st time and would have a chance here if the headgear helps him rediscover his best form.

Forecasts

The Quiet Gent (10/3), Don Pacifico (18/5), Peter The Wolf (9/2), Star Chorus (11/2), Arabian Sun (9/1), Fire Flame (11/1), Distant Rumble (16/1), Queue Dos (20/1), The Flying Seagull (22/1), Wild Clary (22/1), Dear Cat (22/1), Balzarini (28/1), Guns Firing (28/1), Spirit Lead Me (100/1)

Verdict

The vote goes to DON PACIFICO, who went down fighting when second to a progressive type at Haydock where he had Easy Peeler, who landed a decent York handicap on Friday, back in third. A 2 lb nudge is fair enough and he is marginally preferred to Star Chorus, who also found just one too good last time at Bath. The return to this trip looks a good move for The Quiet Gent following his creditable handicap debut effort over 5f at York, while Distant Rumble is another to consider.
