Off the mark over this trip at Lingfield last time when probably value for slightly more than the official winning distance. Has a penalty to overcome here so will need to improve again, but could do so.
New Approach gelding who cost just £800 as a three-year-old. Fair pedigree but yard not necessarily associated with first time out winners
Won at Lingfield last time having been only narrowly denied on debut at Salisbury in October. Shaped as if he should be able to take another step forward so it one to strongly consider.
Dutch Art gelding out of Danehill Dancer mare who cost £40,000 as a yearling. This is a good starting point for him based on pedigree and he should go well.
Ran only to a similar level on his second run at Lingfield last time but that level of form should be enough to see him go close here.
Ran an encouraging race on debut at Windsor last time, and has now been given a break since October. Should be able to improve on that effort and needs respecting if so.
Scat Daddy colt who cost 95,000gns as a two-year-old. Related to a few winners over similar trips to this internationally and worth a check in the market.
Well-beaten in three starts so far, including over C&D at on the AW at Wolverhampton last time out. Needs unlikely improvement to get involved in this.
Only poor efforts in two runs for Richard Hughes and tough to get excited about his chances now he's switched to this yard.
Piccolo gelding out of an Invincible Spirit mare. Stable is having a good year so far but he doesn't seem like the likeliest first time out winner.
Leroidesanimaux gelding who cost 70,000gns as a two-year-old. Has a nice pedigree, is in top ownership with a leading trainer, and needs a market check on racecourse debut.
Ran as his 33/1 price suggested when only beating one home on debut at Newcastle last time out. Needs to leave that effort a long way behind her.
Forecasts
Mandalayan (13/8), West Wing (3/1), Dark Crocodile (7/1), Low Profile (7/1), One Cool Daddy (14/1), Burrumbeet (14/1), Parisian (14/1), Ask The Dude (18/1), Ousden (66/1), Theydon Boxer (100/1), Streets Of Joy (100/1), Ragstone Ridge (100/1)
West Wing is of obvious interest on racecourse debut given his pedigree and connections, but perhaps MANDALAYAN can build on his recent victory at Lingfield. He does carry a penalty here but also enjoys a weight allowance due to his age and seems a progressive sort on the available evidence, who clearly acts on the surface. Ask The Dude is another newcomer of note.
