Back-to-back winner on the turf late last season over slightly shorter, but has put in a series of tame performances since. Still not back down to either of those winning marks and best watched.
Over two years since his most recent win, having been on the premises on a few occasions without ever getting the job done. Handicapper looks to have his measure, especially given he's never placed on the Polytrack in four attempts.
Has been running decently over hurdles of late, with his last run on the Flat coming when he was beaten favourite at Chepstow last April (2m, good to soft). Unlikely he stayed the trip that day and this rates a far more suitable test off what could be a lenient mark.
Hasn't run on the Flat for 457 days, having last been seen over jumps in November. Seems the type to go well fresh and has won on this surface before. One to consider.
Last won when completing a hat-trick in June 2015, but has come close multiple times since, and could be worth chancing at this venue, on this surface and over this trip all for the first time, though his wins all came over shorter.
Two-time winner who has disappointed on four starts since getting up by a neck at Bath in August. Some of those were unsuitably long, but she has also run poorly over this trip and has to find more in order to be competitive today.
Has won here twice before, having been on a lower handicap mark over a furlong further on both occasions. Not totally discounted given his course form and recent performances, but has something to prove carrying this much weight.
Narrow winner last time out at Lingfield having been off for over a year previous to that. Goes up 2lb for that victory but this is harder, and he has something to prove at this level.
Very consistent and progressive gelding who has been hiked up the weights for his recent Chelmsford romp. Has that extra weight to contend with but has to be a big player if continuing his improvement for some top AW connections.
Veteran dual purpose C&D winner who hasn't won on the AW since November 2014. Only beaten a neck when last seen here back in June, however, and looks to have place claims once again.
Showed some good speed late on to go down by just a head at Wolverhampton last time out. Steps up to this trip for the first time which will suit on all evidence, and could prove to be well handicapped off a light weight.
Lost his way for his previous trainer up until a win on his final appearance for him last time out at Wolverhampton. That was his only victory so far, however, and probably best watched up 5lb and running for a new trainer after a short break.
Forecasts
Boychick (11/10), Pillard (9/2), Jersey Bull (8/1), What Usain (10/1), Hallings Comet (12/1), Tulip Dress (16/1), Mr Frankie (16/1), Innoko (25/1), Pivotal Flame (25/1), Silver Alliance (50/1), Bushel (50/1), Well Painted (66/1)
There are a fair few who could get involved in the finish here, but perhaps TULIP DRESS could provide the answer off a light weight. She was travelling perhaps best of all in the closing stages when beaten at Wolverhampton last time out but just needed a little further to get her nose in front, which is what she gets today. She'll have to see off the challenge of Boychick, who looks very progressive and bids for a four-timer off a much higher handicap mark than last time, and Well Painted, returning from a short break since hurdling and even longer away from the Flat, but who is the sort who goes well fresh.
1. Tulip Dress
2. Boychick
3. Well Painted
