Veteran. Latest win at Lingfield in June. Not seen to best effect when fifth of 12 in handicap (28/1) at Sandown (10f, heavy) 27 days ago, not ideally placed. Looks competitive on form back in class 5 company.
Lightly raced 4-y-o who looked a hard ride in 3 starts for Karl Burke and it was a similar story starting out for new yard in a hood/tongue tie when ninth of 10 in novice hurdle at Uttoxeter (19.9f, good) on NH debut 23 days ago, pulling hard. Others preferred now handicapping in this sphere.
Study Of Man filly who made more of an impact on third start when fourth of 11 in maiden at Leicester (10f, good) 17 days ago. Brings a positive profile to the table now handicapping and she's one to consider.
Made a winning return/handicap debut over 1m at Nottingham back in the spring. Runner-up next 2 starts prior to seemingly failing to get home in a first-time visor (discarded here) when fifth of 8 in handicap at Chester (12.3f) in June. Absent/switched yards since and this rates more suitable.
Latest win at Windsor in July. Seventh of 8 in handicap at Epsom (10.1f, good to firm, 17/2) 45 days ago, not ideally placed having missed the break. Present mark demands more, however.
Son of Sea The Stars who was gelded/off 8 weeks prior to building on debut promise at second attempt when fourth of 13 in novice at Southwell (8.1f) 53 days ago, making effort earlier than ideal. In excellent hands, there's surely even better to come now handicapping. Cheekpieces on 1st time.
Lightly-raced filly who posted a career best when winning 6-runner handicap at Sandown (10f, heavy, 22/1) 22 days ago, having run of race but still doing it readily. That ought not to prove her limit.
Thrice-raced maiden. Fifth of 9 in novice at Newmarket (10f, good to firm, 33/1) 19 days ago, left behind gradually under a change of tactics. Makes handicap debut now but opening mark looks to demand progress.
First run since leaving Mark Rimell/off 13 months when twelfth of 14 in handicap (125/1) at Kempton (11f) 15 days ago, not knocked about. This should reveal more but he may well have his work cut out with some of the 3-y-os here.
Latest win at Chepstow in July. 7/2, bit below form fifth of 15 in handicap back at that venue (8.1f, good) 45 days ago. Back up in trip now but others appeal more for win purposes.
Successful twice on AW/turf during 2024 but absent since finishing 15¼ lengths fifth of 6 to Croeso Cymraeg in handicap at Lingfield (10f, heavy, 11/2) in June, conditions on the day a plausible excuse. Market can prove a useful guide ahead of this.

Having displayed plenty of promise on 2 of his 3 starts in novice events, MAGIC STAR boasts all the hallmarks of one likely to progress further now handicapping for his very powerful yard and he could well be the way to go with first-time cheekpieces also added. Sandown scorer Concert Party is feared most from a 5 lb higher mark, with Alta Rica and potentially very well treated Kotari others on the shortlist.
