Has two wins from his last three runs, his latest being a dead-heat at Newbury (1m5½f). Has gone up just 2lb in the weights for his most recent success. Dangerous if able to establish an uncontested lead.

Won three times in 2017, but below form in two starts last spring, and is returning from a long absence here. Plenty to prove on balance.

Form stalled in truncated campaign last season, but back on track when runner-up on belated reappearance at Southwell last month, and solid claims if building on that as expected.

Has failed to beat a rival in three handicap starts this season, so very hard to make a case for him despite his falling mark.

Just fair form in qualifying, but much improved when beating Hyanna by 4½L at Goodwood in June on her handicap bow, and runner-up has franked that form since. Potentially thrown in off just 7lb higher here.

Excuses for a poor run on heavy ground last time, but he's been in the grip of the handicapper for a while, and just one win to his name since July 2017.

Won at Newcastle in December for Simon Crisford. Not yet gone on in handicaps, but entitled to have needed the run on debut for new yard here in September, and may yet get back on the up.

All three of his wins have come on AW, landing the race in the stewards' room at Wolverhampton in April. Good second at Newcastle last month on second start back from a break, but opposable on turf.

Best recent effort when 2L second over C&D in September, but that came in an uncompetitive race, and she was below form when fifth at Kempton last time. Opposable on balance.

Australia half-sister to high class performers Midas Touch and Coronet. Off the mark when making all at Chelmsford last time, and open to improvement now handicapping, but opening mark requires a leap forward.

Remains a maiden but ran just about his best race when third of 10 to Torcello in handicap at Windsor last time. Did a bit too much in front there, and worthy trying in a hood now.

Verdict

CHARTERED stand out like a sore thumb after beating subsequent winner Hyanna on her handicap debut in the summer, and the absence is offset by the sparkling for of her stable. Fly The Flag is respected on her own handicap bow, while the likes of Jus Pires is on a feasible mark, and topweight Frontispiece can't be ignored for all the prospect of an easy lead is far from assured.
