Sprang a 40/1 shock when getting off the mark on second attempt over 7f at Wolverhampton recently. Open to improvement but this is much tougher and a penalty to carry.

Daughter of Kingman. Dam unraced but has already produced Group 1 winners Without Parole and Tamarkuz. Improved nicely from her debut for a convincing Wolverhampton success in December. Rates a nice prospect.

No Nay Never filly, cost 420,000 gns as a yearling. Beaten favourite when runner-up in both starts last year but that form sets the standard. Should improve up in trip and rates a contender.

Zoffany filly cost €60,000 as a yearling and a half-sister to three winners. Not disgraced and ran to a similar level in both starts in February but plenty of improvement required in this company.

Casamento filly who fetched €5,500 as a foal but outran her big odds at Newbury on debut when a close third. Slowly away so did well to lead and physically impressed. Should only improve for stable starting to hit form.

Acclamation filly cost 33,000gns as a yearling but sent off at 100/1 on last month's debut and never got involved. Remains best watched.

Kodiac filly, who is closely related to Champagne Stakes winner Vital Equine, but was very easy to back and showed nothing on her debut at Haydock last year (got loose beforehand). Others preferred.

By Exceed and Excel, she cost 22,000gns as a yearling and is from the family of Prix de l'Arc De Triomphe winner Sagamix. Well beaten on last month's debut and hard to fancy in this company.

Daughter of Toronado who fetched 40,000gns as a yearling. Unruly in the stalls on debut but some late progress. A bit to find with Hotsy Totsy but there was plenty of promise there.

By War Command and cost £95,000 as a yearling. Stable's runners can leave their debuts well behind but there was little to take out from her opening Newbury effort.

Bred in Australia and a daughter of Starspangledbanner out of a Rock Of Gibraltar mare. Twice raced late last year but failed to build on promise of debut when disappointing at Wolverhampton. Looks a tough ask.
Dark Angel filly who cost 80,000gns as a foal and 270,000gns as a yearling. Showed nice improvement on second start last year and suited by this extra furlong on breeding. Much more required but no forlorn hope with improvement.

Daughter of Cityscape out of a Haafhd mare. Very hard to recommend on the evidence of two starts to date.

Siyouni Filly; first foal out of a dam who was placed at Listed level in France. Did plenty wrong on debut at Chelmsford in November and met trouble but will have taken plenty from it after good late work. Likely a big improver this season.

By Wootton Bassett out of an Oasis Dream mare. Some late progress after getting behind on debut and represents an in-form yard. This is likely to prove too tough but one to keep an eye on.
Struggled to get involved without being disgraced on both AW starts so far and this looks a very tough ask. Best waiting for handicaps after this.

More Than Ready filly never got involved on last June's debut. Hard to see her being competitive after such an absence and against some good types.

Horse silk
100/1
Daughter of Sea The Moon out of a New Approach mare who was unplaced over middle distances. Wore a hood (retained) and sent off 100/1 on debut when never featuring. Easy to dismiss.

Forecasts

Alhakmah (13/8), She's Got You (5/2), Neon Sea (8/1), Mayfair Pompette (8/1), Hotsy Totsy (12/1), Marlyn (16/1), Michigan Blue (40/1), Kodiac Lass (40/1), Mrs Worthington (50/1), Miss Liberty Belle (50/1), Princesse Bassett (66/1), Any Smile (66/1), Sweet Jemima (100/1), Tereshkova (100/1), Jumeirah (100/1), Manana Chica (125/1), My Lady Claire (125/1), Quemonda (150/1)

Verdict

A potentially smart contest where the market expectations will be particularly interesting with Neon Sea who should heave learnt a lot from last year's debut and will always have been a long term prospect for his powerful connections. Alhakmah holds obvious credentials while She's Got You was stylish in her win and is very well bred. A chance though is taken with HOTSY TOTSY who caught the eye physically prior to her debut and will have learnt plenty from a win that is close to the best form on offer.
  1. Hotsy Totsy
  2. She's Got You
  3. Neon Sea
