This trip looks a good starting point for rather belated racecourse debut.

Piccolo filly who's dam won three lowly handicaps. Hard to enthuse over racecourse debut.

8/1
Shamardal filly who ran well on both starts last term including over C&D. Likely to improve at some stage and one of the more obvious ones.

After an encouraging debut over C&D in November she was beaten at odds-on at Kempton in December when pulling her chance away. Better than that and a repeat of the debut effort will see her go close.

66/1 and beaten a long way at kempton two weeks ago. Should be better for the experience.

Shown very little in two starts so far at big prices. Same on the cards here.

Cost £33,000 at the Goffs Breeze-up in April 2017. Taken a while to reach the track and maybe that this trip will be on the sharp side.
Has a nice speedy pedigree and related to several winners. Likely to know her job on debut.

Captain Gerrard filly. This trip looks a good starting point. Yards runners tend to come on for the experience.

Equiano filly that just had one start as a two-year-old. Sent off 33/1 and showed very little. Will need to improve.

Ran over 7f and a mile as a two-year-old. Drop back in trip might be a good move.

Sire a Grade 1 winner on tapeta, and unraced dam has produced several winners. Beaten a long way on debut and has since switched yards.

Cost 45,000 gns as a yearling but sent off 66/1 on debut and well beaten. Similar story here.

Horse silk
11/4
Dutch Art filly who is likely to know her job on debut for top yard and one of the more obvious ones.
17
(4)
Horse silk
25/1
Arcano filly who only cost 5,000 euros as a foal. Yards runners tend to improve with experience.

Forecasts

Azpeitia (11/4), The Chemist (11/4), Any Little Rhyme (8/1), Indian Tygress (12/1), Montana Dawn (12/1), Mirror Mirror (14/1), Gower Gold (14/1), Fantastic Flyer (16/1), Jean Excels (18/1), Nikita (20/1), Headscarf (20/1), Twilight (25/1), Polyphony (33/1), Excel Mate (33/1), Liamba (40/1), Nutopia (66/1), Angel Eyes (66/1)

Verdict

Not much to go on and easy to whittle this down to a few. The Chemist is clearly of interest on debut for a powerful yard. Any Little Rhyme should put her experience to good use but marginal preference is for AZPEITIA who didn’t build on her debut promise when beaten at odds-on at Kempton
  1. Azpeitia
  2. The Chemist
  3. Any Little Rhyme
