Off since June but does go well here and has 3 C&D wins to his name. Wide draw does him very few favours though and there has to be a suspicion that he'll benefit from the blow out.
Makes his debut on this surface 58 runs into his career but on a poor run of form and needs to up his game. Yard very much respected with this type, however, so still one to consider despite unfavorable terms.
Consistent individual and has a C&D win to his name already. Still on a stiff looking mark after a string of good efforts and, from a wide berth, faces another tough assignment.
Winner on the sprint course at Epsom in August but nowhere near the same form after a hike in the ratings. Lacks experience of this surface and looks like the assessor has her measure, so comes with plenty of risk attached.
Course specialist (third in this last year too) and would be dangerous to eliminate without a check on the betting. May have needed the run latest, so interesting to see if there is more confidence surrounding his chances this time up.
Hard to get away from his course record, which boasts five C&D wins already - all of which have been achieved within the last twelve months. Picks up 5lb more for winning last time out and on a career highest mark. But still likely to be a player.
Hard to get right but can figure at this level when he puts his mind to the task. However, has no previous experience of an AW surface and has a good bit to prove just now.
Sports blinkers in a bid to reverse form with Piazon in October and, while respected, the gelding looks to face a stern test again this time.
Another that is very well suited to this course and can never be confidently discounted on the fibresand. However, this trip is on the sharp side these days and he looks vulnerable - especially from the draw in stall thirteen.
Won on soft ground at Nottingham in June but revised mark brought him straight back down to earth. A string of modest efforts means he's now back on an attractive mark but recent form suggest he's lost his way a little.
Had a great season and enjoyed further success after winning here from a mark of just 58 in April. Faded over 6f at York in a better race last time, so likely to be better suited dropping back to the minimum trip. Sound claims in this company.
Beaten half a length by Piazon latest underlines his liking for this course and he may well have got up had he not been hampered near the finish on that occasion. the betting can be informative as to how feasible compensation is today.
Five C&D wins to his name and dangerous to underestimate even though he appears to have a bit to find with a few of the others. 3lb lower than his last winning AW rating, so feasible chance of at least making the frame at the weights.

A tough one to call as not too many can confidently be ruled out. The likes of Gnaad, Razin' Hell and Treaty Of Rome all come here with decent claims and can make this a good test for the rest whatever happens. However, PIAZON may have wobbled under pressure last time but he showed a likable willingness to win and a 5lb higher mark may not be enough to stop him if the gelding is similarly determined this time around.
- Piazon
- Gnaad
- Treaty Of Rome
