Six race maiden, but has produced a couple of fair placed efforts over this track (1m3½f) of late. His recent conqueror Hermosa Vaquera contests the opening race, so could frank that form, but this extra yardage is somewhat of an unknown.
Lightly raced, but produced her best performance so far in handicaps when upped to 1m3½f at Bath late last month; a 4L runner up to High Wells. Possibly lacks a change of gear so worth a try over this longer trip.
Eight race maiden who has proved a shade disappointing since leaving the care of Mark Johnston. Hasn't suggested that this trip suits (for this trainer), so others are preferred until he proves otherwise.
Seven race maiden, but has managed to find the frame on a couple of occasions over 1m4f. Her form perhaps wouldn't be the strongest on offer (contested a maiden handicap latest), but this longer trip might well be exactly what she needs.
Not tasted success since May 2016 when an all out winner of a 1m2f Newmarket handicap. Untested over this kind of trip and well beaten on previous attempts over 1m4f. Unconvincing despite a fall in the weights.
Eleven race maiden, but broadly consistent from this mark, and with no question marks whatsoever regarding the trip. Couldn't be totally discounted, but remains to be seen where he can find the required improvement from to break his duck.
Bolted up in a striking manner over C&D in late July (soft), beating Esspeegee by 6L. Only third on her next start under a penalty at Nottingham, but conditions were truly attritional that evening, and likely more effective back here.
Not managed to beat too many home in three attempts (maidens) over shorter trips. Upped to 1m6f for her handicap debut (from a basement mark) and her dam Perception was a winner over 2m-2m1f.
Forecasts
Perla Blanca (3/1), Our Cilla (10/3), Snowy Winter (10/3), Ravenswood (11/2), Percy Thrower (6/1), Percipio (20/1), Avantgardist (25/1), Tatawu (33/1)
Snowy Winter appears to be slowly improving with racing and seemingly lacking a change of gear, looks well worth trying over this longer trip. Our Cilla sprung a surprise when bolting up over C&D in late July, and can be potentially excused her subsequent Nottingham defeat (not disgraced) which came in conditions which were borderline unraceable. However, Marcus Tregoning has proved adept in the past at improving fillies as they step up in trip, so a chance is taken on PERLA BLANCA. She appears to be crying out for this extra yardage, albeit acknowledging that her form over shorter trips might not have come in the strongest of contests.
