Completed a hat-trick at Chester in May, and also ran very well at Goodwood last time out. Should enjoy the ground and appears to still be on a workable handicap mark, and so he hold leading claims.

Has come up short in Group company recently but has won a Listed handicap and should find this level a fair for him. Perhaps too high in the weights to be fully effective now, though.

Not at his best so far in 2017 but would have a good chance on his best form from last year. Cheek pieces fitted for the first time but a revival needed now.

Has been coming up short more often than not in his recent efforts, with a victory at Ayr in June (1m2f, good), below the required standard here. Probably requires more help from the handicapper before winning again.

Not at his best since winning the Lincoln having switched to this yard. Generally seems better at a mile and was short of the level required here when finishing seventh in a handicap here on Thursday.

Course winner who has been in good form so far this year but another 6lb higher than when winning at Ayr last time out. A big player if able to overcome that rise on ground that he should enjoy.

Yet to win since switching to this yard, but would be well treated here on the basis of his best form in Ireland. Generally likes to be held up so may benefit if they go too quick early on.

Acquitted himself well in similar handicaps to this recently, having come into his own as a four year old. On the same mark as when not far away at Goodwood last time and chances are boosted by the draw in stall 1.

Posted a solid effort on returning from a long break two starts ago but slightly disappointing when finishing last of all latest. Would have a chance on his best form but too many questions remain at the current time.

Awarded the race at Goodwood last time out and is up 4lb as a result. A repeat of that form should see him go close but this could be a slightly deeper field.

Possibly reached his handicap ceiling of late after a fine start to the season, and has to find further improvement to mount a serious challenge here. Low draw should help, though.

Ran a fine race to finish second at Newcastle in a valuable handicap last time out, and he seems well handicapped on that basis. Interesting contender if staying this far.

Hat-trick seeker who is raised 7lb for a narrow victory at Goodwood last time out. That came on soft ground and this is a different proposition if run on the likely sounder surface, on his highest mark since May 2014.

In fine form this year, winning five times and running well in defeat on the other two occasions. This is her most difficult assignment yet and she has gone up 22lb this season but she cannot be ruled out.

Won a good handicap at Epsom in April, hasn't been able to build on that since, still a bit higher in the handicap than at the time of that victory and others hold more convincing claims.

No win since August 2014 which has to be a concern, but starting to look very well handicapped on his best performances in his younger years and would have a say if returning to that form.

Potentially well handicapped but not guaranteed to stay this far; widest draw not usually a positive and not in his best form recently.

Above his highest winning mark to date and not at his best so far this season. Others preferred in what is a tougher race than he's used to.

In good form of late in much less competitive races, back up to a career-high mark (on the Flat) but worth a try at the level.

Forecasts

Uae Prince (7/2), Khairaat (4/1), Titi Makfi (8/1), Weekend Offender (8/1), Baydar (10/1), Dark Red (12/1), Brorocco (12/1), Eddystone Rock (20/1), Snoano (20/1), First Flight (25/1), Bravery (25/1), Awake My Soul (25/1), Nicholas T (25/1), Save The Bees (33/1), Spring Offensive (33/1), Storm King (33/1), Speed Company (50/1), Beardwood (50/1), Kentuckyconnection (50/1), Gulf Of Poets (50/1)

Verdict

A competitive handicap where few can be discounted out of hand. UAE PRINCE has taken his form to a new level this year and looks to have a fantastic chance here on the basis of his recent Goodwood second. Going for the lowest draw, which has been a help in this race in recent years, he can win this valuable prize for a yard in good form. Khairaat is another who ran well at Goodwood recently and demands respect, ahead of Kentuckyconnection, provided he stays this far.
