Inconsistent sort but likely to get his optimum conditions here (quick ground and 6f) so can't be ruled out dropped back in trip. Can ruin his chance from the start though and wouldn't want to do that around here.
Latest win came over this C&D and not disgraced at Thirsk last month when runner-up having conceded first-run to the eventual winner. Still on a fair mark and could come on for that run so has to have a solid chance here.
Two-time C&D winner but not managed to get his head in front since 2015. Dropped to a very workable mark if he can return to form and has to be of interest if the rain stays away.
Has won eight times on the AW but yet to score in 24 turf attempts and never won off a mark this high. Well beaten on his latest two starts and hardly straightforward. Up against it here for a yard that have been quiet in recent weeks.
Won at Bath over an extended 5f before finishing well beaten off his revised mark on two subsequent starts. Well suited by fast ground but evidence suggests he finds this trip too far and others make more appeal from a handicapping perspective.
Winner of his third start at Ripon and went close in some valuable handicaps last season but a little too consistent for her own good at the moment and handicapper refusing to relent. Runner-up last time in a six-runner affair at Newmarket and place claims once again.
Won a decent looking race at Salisbury last year and gained his first win since off a much reduced mark at Windsor last time. Easy enough winner there, putting the race to bed some way out and a 6lb rise for that success looks fair. Ought to go well once again.
Won a Class 2 handicap at Ascot and placed in Group 3 company in his pomp but has been on the slide over the past year. Won a four-runner Brighton contest earlier in the season but probably didn't need to improve to take that and he's struggled from his revised mark since.

Storm Cry (11/4), Farleigh Mac (11/4), Major Pusey (11/4), Reputation (11/2), Highland Acclaim (11/2), Ashpan Sam (8/1), Juan Horsepower (8/1), Athassel (20/1), Taajub (25/1)
HIGHLAND ACCLAIM's last victory came over C&D and he gave the impression a return to form was imminent at Thirsk last time. Ashpan Sam is another proven around here and looks on a workable mark while Farleigh Mac bounced back last time out and had a little bit more in hand than the winning margin suggested.
