Off the mark for 2026 over C&D in June and back at that level returned to this trip when finding only one too good at Leicester a week ago. This is a lesser band of handicap so should be very competitive again if stall 12 doesn't prove to be a hindrance.
Winless for some time but he's been pretty consistent this season, producing yet another in-frame effort at Brighton 3 weeks ago. More likely than most at this level to give their running.
Thrived during the latter half of 2025, winning 4 times. Tumbled in the weights after below-par efforts earlier this year and while he got back on track when second of 5 in Leicester handicap (6f) in July, he failed to build on it at Lingfield.
Successful twice on turf last season but it hasn't clicked in 2026, faring no better for the application of blinkers at Bath in July.
Edged out only late on when second of 7 at Yarmouth (5f) last month. Not in the same form both starts since but he's done all of his winning on the all-weather and lurks on a very dangerous mark returned to this surface. Blinkers back on and he's one to consider.
Sole success came back on second career start when trained by Simon & Ed Crisford. Has tumbled in the weights for current connections but did offer a little bit of hope returning from 10 months off at Catterick last week.
Yet to win and after reportedly suffering an over-reach on turf at Lingfield in June, he also dropped away back on the all-weather there a month ago.
Maiden who was forced into a change of tactics after a slow start and wasn't seen to best effect as a result when sixth of 11 in handicap at Lingfield last month. Also better than the result over 7f 19 days ago so not without hope at this level.
Won a 6f handicap at Ffos Las in June but has barely beaten a rival in 3 starts since.
Still looking for a breakthrough victory but arrives on the back of 2 of his better efforts, third of 11 in handicap on the all-weather at Lingfield 26 days ago.
Good second in handicap at Redcar (6f) in June on final outing for Ed Bethell but hasn't reproduced that form in 5 outings for Micky Hammond. Cheekpieces now applied.
Successful twice at Lingfield during early part of 2026 but didn't look an easy ride when below form at that venue 2 weeks ago.
Has not won since January but showed clear signs of return to form when fourth of 9 in a handicap at Windsor over 5f 22 days ago, keeping on final 1f and not knocked about. Return to 6f will suit and he's a C&D winner off an attractive mark so is one to be very interested in.

Forecasts
Candy Warhol (9/4), Trust Sergei (9/2), King Cherry (5/1), Apex Star (6/1), Papa Don't Preach (8/1), Due Date (10/1), My Dad Tom (20/1), Mister Moet (20/1), Lieutenant Sir (20/1), Em Jay Kay (25/1), Hidden Verse (25/1), Neapolitan (33/1), Oasis Cover (50/1)
In the hope the market vibes are more positive than has been the case for a while. EM JAY KAY looks a very attractive proposition from his lowly mark returned to this C&D. Candy Warhol and Trust Sergei are solid rivals.
