Sogann gelding. Dam 5f/6f winner (including at 2 yrs). Likely outsider on belated debut.
Mohaather gelding reached 60,000 gns as a foal but cost only 1,000 gns at 3yrs. Offered something to work on in a couple of turf novices last month but handicaps after this will surely prove more his thing.
500,000 gns yearling, 16,000 gns 3-y-o, Frankel gelding. Dam, winner up to 1m (2-y-o 7f winner), half-sister to very smart 2-y-o 1m/9f winner Line of Duty. Yard not associated with debut success but worth a cursory market check.
Starman gelding who showed some promise starting out over a slightly longer trip than might have been expected from his pedigree when fourth of 9 in novice at Wolverhampton (7f) just under 6 weeks ago. Drop to 6f looks a good move and he's likely to improve.
Cotai Glory gelding who made a promising start when fourth of 6 at Newcastle in May but went backwards from that when fifth of 8 in maiden at Wolverhampton (5f) the following month, looking a hard ride from the widest stall. Upped to 6f for his return.
No impact in novice/maiden in recent months and will be of minimal interest this side of handicaps.
Starman gelding who offered something to work on making rather belated debut when second of 4 in novice at Leicester (7f, good to firm) last month. Open to improvement and every chance he will go one better.
420,000 gns yearling, Ardad filly who was much improved from debut despite filling the same position when second of 6 in novice at Wetherby (5.5f, firm) 10 weeks ago. Doubtful that she's going to live up to her smart pedigree but likely to progress further.
Wootton Bassett filly who was hooded for debut and showed plenty to work on when third of 5 in novice at Lingfield (7.6f, good) back in May. Bred to be useful and bound to improve on that initial effort, though the drop back in trip is surprising (will be suited by at least 1m).

Forecasts
Yordan (6/5), Oddjob (4/1), Black Orchid (9/2), Cosmic Girl (5/1), Mr G Force (12/1), Project Wallace (20/1), Beautiful Rumour (80/1), El Ghuwah (150/1), Smooth Flight (250/1)
Amo Racing landed the second division of this maiden 12 months ago and they can repeat that feat with BLACK ORCHID, who is unlikely to live up to her smart pedigree, but Richard & Peter Fahey's filly has shown plenty of promise with a couple of runner-up efforts. She gets the nod over Yordan, who ran a cracker when second on his belated debut at Leicester last month and should improve. Oddjob can edge out Cosmic Girl for minor honours.
