Ended 2025 with Ascot Group 3 victory in October. Back on track when sixth of 13 in handicap at Leicester (6f) last month but well beaten at Leicester since. Has a first-time tongue tie combined with refitted cheekpieces here.

Winner of a listed race for Andrew Balding in 2024 and still capable of smart form on occasion for Marco Botti last year. Down the field on Chester return for new yard 25 days ago but he's entitled to come on the for run.
Thirteen runs since last win in 2024. Cheekpieces on first time, 15¾ lengths eighteenth of 22 to Dark Thirty in handicap (80/1) at York (6f, good to soft) on reappearance 8 days ago. The headgear is discarded now. Given a chance by the handicapper but can still only watch.
Useful form in the US earlier in his career. Mixed record in Europe since but showed he retains his ability at the second time of asking for current yard when third of 22 to Dark Thirty at York (6f, good to soft) 22 days ago. Player if can build on that.
Back to form with a bang for new yard when producing a career-best effort to win 22-runner handicap at York (6f, good to soft) 18 days ago. Not always been the most consistent but claims if in similar form.
Listed winner in France. Yet to find that level in Britain but his 2 runs this year have been respectable and his mark is starting to ease.
It's now 14 runs since his last win in 2024 but he ended 2025 with a respectable fourth of 22 in handicap at Doncaster (6f, heavy). Has had a breathing operation ahead of reappearance.
Won 3 of her first 5 starts. Progress stalled when well held at the York Ebor meeting last August but she ended 2025 with a respectable fourth at Southwell in September. Still low mileage for a sprinter.
Useful at his best. Failed to fire for Roger Varian in 2025 but more positive signs for new yard when fifth over 6f at Leicester (good to firm) and York (good to soft; beaten 3¼ lengths by Dark Thirty) this spring. The type to cash in on his reduced mark before long.
Runner-up in Stewards' Cup at Goodwood last year and built on promising reappearance effort when returning to winning ways at Leicester (6f, good to firm) last month. Raced away from where the main action unfolded when tenth of 22 to Dark Thirty at York since and can be treated as if still in form.
Twice a winner in Ireland last year. Good second of 14 in 5f handicap at Musselburgh (soft) on return for new yard over Easter and possibly not over that when well held at Newmarket only 12 days later. Freshened up since.
Completed a hat-trick in the Portland at Doncaster last September but yet to hit top form this spring. Best watched until showing more.
Without a win last year for Richard Fahey but stepped forward from seasonal/stable debut when landing 18-runner contest over C&D (good) last month. Good second of 20 at York (6f, good) last weekend. Capable of going well again.
C&D winner last summer off 1 lb higher. Creditable third of 13 in handicap at Hamilton (5f, good to firm) 14 days ago. The return to 6f is ideal and he has to enter calculations.

Forecasts
Yes I'm Mali (9/2), Fandom (6/1), Dark Thirty (6/1), Strike Red (13/2), Russet Gold (10/1), Eternal Sunshine (10/1), Fluorescence (10/1), Gangsta Man (12/1), Milford (12/1), Toyotomi (14/1), Al Shabab Storm (16/1), Manila Scouse (18/1), Annaf (22/1), Sir Yoshi (40/1)
Although RUSSET GOLD was behind a couple of these at the York Dante meeting the feeling is he's likely to capitalise on this mark before long. Yes I'm Mali has been back on top of his game since joining David O'Meara, including a C&D win, and he's feared most ahead of Fandom and Strike Red.
- Russet Gold10/1
- Yes I'm Mali9/2
