Canon's House¹⁵

Age: 5| Weight: 9-9| J: Billy Garritty| T: M & D Easterby| OR: 89| D

3/1

Progressive last season, winning 4 times. Stepped up on reappearance run when good close second at Beverley in April but only fifth of 10 at Chester 15 days ago in first-time cheekpieces. That equipment is quickly removed and he should go well if bouncing back.

Fidelius¹⁸

Age: 5| Weight: 9-9| J: Jack Callan⁽³⁾| T: R M H Cowell| OR: 89| D

12/1

Has been in good form on all-weather with wins in February and March prior to a close second at Southwell in April. Not at best when fifth of 6 in a handicap at Bath 18 days ago and may just be not quite so good on turf.

Form: 212125

Glamorous Breeze^p²⁵¹

Age: 8| Weight: 9-9| J: Gina Mangan| T: C Mason| OR: 89| CD

20/1

Won 3 times in 2025, including at Lingfield in September on penultimate outing that year. Returns from 251 days off here but won on her reappearance last year and she's a previous C&D winner so isn't one to take lightly.

Form: 155913-

Star Chorus^h⁹¹

Age: 4| Weight: 9-7| J: Rob Hornby| T: M Murphy| OR: 87| D

33/1

Won at Southwell over 6f in February. Returns to turf after 91 days upped to a career-high mark and his regular slow starts are a slight concern back down at 5f.

Form: 5-31341

Seven Questions¹⁵

Age: 5| Weight: 9-7| J: J P Spencer| T: R M H Cowell| OR: 87| D

3/1

Good third of 13 at Pontefract in April after 7 months off. Not really kicked on since, though was pestered up front when fourth of 10 at Chester 15 days ago and he's now below the mark of his only win in handicap company so could well be in the mix.

Form: 700-364

(4)

Dyonisos²⁷

Age: 4| Weight: 9-4| J: D Egan| T: Ian Williams| OR: 84| D

9/2

Promise when second of 8 at Newmarket in April, racing freely in winner's slipstream (won again since), but took a strong hold again when seventh of 8 at Ripon 27 days ago and failed to see things out. Needs to settle but any cut in the ground will suit given his success on soft going in France.

Form: 06-8327

Roach Power^b¹⁵

Age: 7| Weight: 9-3| J: J F Egan| T: M Wigham| OR: 83| D

9/1

Thrived when winning 5 times at 5f in 2025, including at Newmarket in October. Not seen to best effect either start so far this year and the handicapper is already beginning to relent so he's certainly not one to write off.

Form: 1710-09

Dream Composer²⁷

Age: 8| Weight: 9-3| J: D C Costello| T: A W Carroll| OR: 83| CD

11/2

Exploited handy mark when winning 5f handicap at Ripon 27 days ago on return/stable debut. 5 lb rise looks well within his capabilities and he's in the right hands to pick up more races this year. Has won races at this track before and looks sure to go well with fully-fledged rider back aboard.

Form: 70789-1

(5)

Forager¹⁹⁹

Age: 4| Weight: 9-3| J: P Cosgrave| T: S Pearce| OR: 83| D

28/1

Made all in 5f all-weather handicap at Lingfield in October but couldn't lead when only sixth of 7 back there in November. Looks to have something to find back on turf on return from 199 days off.

Form: 160416-

(8)

Nogo's Dream^p²⁶

Age: 6| Weight: 8-13| J: Finley Marsh| T: R Hughes| OR: 79| D

14/1

Good second of 10 at Nottingham 26 days ago, hanging left and carried head awkwardly before just failing to get up. His quirks are well established, though, and his reliability is a concern so he's not certain to give his running from what is otherwise a handy enough mark.

Form: 485-262

Forecasts

Seven Questions (3/1), Canon's House (3/1), Dyonisos (9/2), Dream Composer (11/2), Roach Power (9/1), Fidelius (12/1), Nogo's Dream (14/1), Glamorous Breeze (20/1), Forager (28/1), Star Chorus (33/1)

DREAM COMPOSER made a successful stable debut at Ripon after six months off and, returning to this C&D where he's won before, he looks well treated despite a 5 lb rise and can follow up. Roach Power was caught wide from the worst of the draw at Chester last time and is capable of much better, while Seven Questions is now below his last winning mark.
