Improved for a switch of yards when winning a pair of 7f Southwell handicaps over the winter. Poor draw scuppered his bid for a hat-trick in the Victoria Cup at Ascot last time and he's worth another chance back in calmer waters.

On the up when winning back-to-back all-weather races last year but she was well held in a Group 3 at Lingfield last time and has a tough ask at the weights on her first handicap start on turf.

Won 3 of his final 4 starts last year but he failed to come on for his reappearance when down the field in the Victoria Cup last time and hopes are pinned on a drop in grade.

Hasn't recaptured his 3-y-o form in a trio of runs this season, for all he probably didn't stay at Newmarket (9f) last time. Has his sights lowered, though, and isn't ruled out if blinkers have the desired effect.

Quirky but talented performer who was narrowly denied a first turf win in last season's Lincoln. Wasn't seen to best effect on return from 4 months off at Newbury last time and looks interesting dropped in class with an excellent-value claimer taking over.

Only made it to the track twice for Jack Channon last year (down the field on both occasions) and similar story on return/stable debut in the Lincoln at Doncaster in March.

Won a pair of sprint handicaps for his current yard last summer but still has something to prove at this trip, proving too free on his return at Chester (7.5f) last time.

Completed a hat-trick over this trip last summer and needs considering following an encouraging reappearance third at Newmarket, his latest run at Chester easy to excuse.

A dual winner last year, he again ran well on seasonal reappearance when third in a soundly-run handicap at Ascot (6f) last time. Step back up in trip no issue, however this looks a deeper race.

Couldn't adopt his usual positive tactics when fifth in this race 12 months ago but did win a 6f handicap here the following month. Seemingly as good as ever when a narrow runner-up at Musselburgh on second start this season and has a handy draw to boot.

Narrowly prevailed over a next-time-out winner when landing a third career success at Yarmouth last month and that form puts him right in the mix, provided cheekpieces have the same effect second time up.

4-time winner looked more straightforward than had previously been the case when fifth in a useful all-weather handicap at Lingfield but needs to bounce back from a poor run on the turf course there last time.

Successful 4 times during a fruitful 2025 and following an encouraging reappearance third on the all-weather at Southwell, he's one to consider on a track that should suit.

Positively ridden when winning back-to-back handicaps at Chester/Sandown last summer. Handled more conservatively when below form in recent starts on the all-weather (0-11) and has at least come back down the weights.

OLIVER SHOW isn't the most straightforward but has a talented apprentice aboard and may capitalise on a handy mark with his sights considerably lowered. A case can be made for plenty of others, including Philanthropist, whose form looks rock-solid, while promising Shiplake looks well worth another chance.
