Dual winner on the all-weather but has finished no better than mid-field in a handful of turf starts, fourth of 8 in handicap at this course (7f, good) when last seen in October. Back sprinting for her return but others more appealing.

Cinque Verde55
Age: 6|  Weight: 9-12| J: Jack Doughty| T: A W Carroll| OR:  83| D
Recorded a ninth career success when making all on the July course last summer. Probably needed the run after 5 months off at Wolverhampton in March and she's not out of things from her lower turf mark.

Lady Roxby25
Age: 4|  Weight: 9-12| J: S De Sousa| T: M Herrington| OR:  83
Improved for the switch to current yard last season, scoring at Beverley in July and runner-up on 4 of her 5 other starts, including when just touched off in valuable fillies handicap over C&D last September. Looked as good as ever when third of 7 at Kempton on return so can feature.

Powdering16
Age: 6|  Weight: 9-8| J: Connor Planas(3)| T: M Herrington| OR:  79| C| D
Course winner who wasted no time getting back to form returned to calmer waters when third of 8 at Southwell (6f) 16 days ago, despite having not been seen to best effect behind a pair of improving 3-y-os. Back on turf and fancied to find a few unexposed types too strong.

Slay Queen188
Age: 3|  Weight: 9-7| J: Joe Leavy| T: R Hannon| OR:  88| D
Progressive last summer, landing novice at Newbury in August before following up in a Goodwood nursery the following month. Too free tried over 7f when down the field in listed company at Newbury (7f) on final outing last season so no surprise to see her back sprinting.

Lady Kodiac21
Age: 3|  Weight: 9-7| J: C Lee| T: J Tate| OR:  88| D
Landed a couple of ordinary novices at Chelmsford last year and wasn't good enough returning from 6 months off when fifth of 7 in minor event at Wolverhampton (6f) 3 weeks ago. Hopes pinned on a switch to handicaps bringing out further progress.

Mercury Day25
Age: 5|  Weight: 9-7| J: Jack Gilligan| T: C Allen| OR:  78
Ought to have landed a third career success on the July course last June (when reportedly struck into), just failing having been left with plenty to do. Caught wide and ran below form after 9 months at Kempton recently so will need to leave that effort well behind.

Cuban Lady192
Age: 4|  Weight: 9-5| J: Oisin Murphy| T: Tom Clover| OR:  76| D
Made it third time lucky at Windsor last June and not beaten far in 4 subsequent starts, just finding things a little tougher away from her own sex on her final 2025 outing. Plenty to like with Murphy booked for this reappearance.

Anaisa10
Age: 3|  Weight: 9-3| J: D Allan| T: T D Easterby| OR:  84| D
Bagged a 6f Ripon listed event at the end of last summer but it didn't require any more than a fairly useful effort and she struggled in her 3 subsequent starts. Not beaten far on her recent return to action at Pontefract but may need to head up in trip to find another jolt of progress.

Angel Love157
Age: 3|  Weight: 9-2| J: D Egan| T: K P De Foy| OR:  83| D
Promising Harry Angel filly who was a strong favourite and justified the support emphatically in 9-runner maiden at Wolverhampton (6f, 4/5) back in November. Open to further improvement now stepping into handicaps on turf debut.

Lightning Polka178
Age: 3|  Weight: 9-2| J: Tom Marquand| T: E Walker| OR:  83| BF| D
Night of Thunder filly who looked a useful prospect when scoring on debut at Haydock (6f) last September. Down markedly in grade but found her opening mark beyond her on nursery/all-weather debut when third of 4 at Lingfield in November but it remains very early days.

Paradise Walkb152
Age: 3|  Weight: 8-11| J: H Crouch| T: R M Beckett| OR:  78
Found one too good on all 3 starts, latest in 8-runner novice after 12 weeks off at Wolverhampton in March. In the right hands on handicap/turf debut and she should be a factor in first-time blinkers.

Fantasy Obsessor16
Age: 4|  Weight: 8-11| J: Harry Davies| T: M Appleby| OR:  68| D
2-2 in all-weather novices to start her career but has still looked rough around the edges in handicaps, shaping as if better for the run after 6 months off at Southwell recently. Handicapper drops her another 2 lb and she's not ruled out back on turf.

Forecasts

Paradise Walk (9/2), Lady Roxby (5/1), Angel Love (6/1), Powdering (7/1), Lady Kodiac (10/1), Cuban Lady (10/1), Lightning Polka (10/1), Anaisa (12/1), Orchid (12/1), Fantasy Obsessor (14/1), Cinque Verde (14/1), Slay Queen (16/1), Mercury Day (25/1)

Verdict

Having been progressive last year, LADY ROXBY shaped as if as good as ever when third on her recent Kempton return and with that outing under her belt, Michael Herrington's 4-y-o gets the nod to regain the winning thread. Paradise Walk has found one too good on all 3 starts so far and she may have to settle for silver once again, with Angel Love and Cuban Lady another couple to consider in an open-looking sprint to close the card.
