He's Our Cracker^p¹⁹

Age: 4| Weight: 9-9| J: Billy Loughnane| T: J Candlish| OR: 60| D

9/2

Unable to back up his Chelmsford success when fifth of 10 at Wolverhampton last time, but this lightly-raced 4-y-o is worth another chance, returning to turf with Billy Loughnane taking over.

Form: 57-6315

(13)

Not So Sobers^h²¹

Age: 7| Weight: 9-9| J: Rob Hornby| T: D Killahena & G McPherson| OR: 60

16/1

Fairly useful bumper winner who was a well-backed third at Chelmsford (1¾m) before being unsuited by the drop back in trip at Wolverhampton (8.5f) last time. Makes first turf start on the Flat.

Form: 587-836

(7)

Yokkell⁴⁶

Age: 7| Weight: 9-9| J: Finley Marsh| T: A Wintle| OR: 60

11/2

Continues to operate a long way below her best but did at least stop the slide, to an extent, when sixth of 9 at Wolverhampton on latest start.

Form: 05087-6

(1)

Porter's Song³⁵

Age: 4| Weight: 9-7| J: K Stott| T: E Bethell| OR: 58

17/2

Sold out of the Andre Fabre stable for 22,000 gns following a modest debut and was still finding his feet for new yard when last of 7 on qualifying run at Newcastle (7f). Unexposed over this markedly longer trip on handicap debut, though.

Form: 5-56

(11)

Beauty Generation^p⁴⁶

Age: 5| Weight: 9-6| J: Rossa Ryan| T: R Burdon| OR: 57| BF

11/1

Isn't one for maximum faith but did finish a well-backed third of 9 at Wolverhampton last time, and he's a likely player eased further in grade.

Form: 057-753

(10)

Celtic Spirit¹²⁴

Age: 4| Weight: 9-6| J: David Probert| T: K Jewell| OR: 57

40/1

Al Kazeem gelding wasn't given a hard time when fifth of 7 on qualifying run at Lingfield in December, and it's not out of the question he improves for the switch to a markedly longer trip/handicap.

Form: 455-

(6)

Silkies Sib^v²⁰

Age: 6| Weight: 9-6| J: Christian Howarth⁽³⁾| T: James Owen| OR: 57| D

11/1

Gained reward for his consistency when winning at Chelmsford in February and again ran creditably when third in this grade at Southwell on latest start.

Form: 221363

(8)

Miss Chester¹⁷

Age: 4| Weight: 9-4| J: George Bass| T: M D I Usher| OR: 55

33/1

Hasn't been seeing out her races on the all-weather of late and remains with stamina to prove back over a markedly longer trip.

Form: 800-087

(14)

Evelyn's Phoenix^p,t⁷

Age: 5| Weight: 9-3| J: Jason Hart| T: T D Easterby| OR: 54| D

10/3

Capitalised on a much-reduced mark to make a winning return at Nottingham, and though in a slightly higher grade here, he remains well treated on the best of his form.

Form: 60890-1

(3)

Shabu Shabu^b¹⁹

Age: 4| Weight: 9-1| J: Jonny Peate| T: J Ferguson| OR: 52

25/1

Failed to stay under a rather aggressive ride at Wolverhampton (1¾m) last time and he's entitled to be more competitive back down in trip.

Form: 7020-60

(2)

Blackwater Lilly^p¹⁵

Age: 6| Weight: 8-13| J: Harry Russell| T: B Ellison| OR: 50

14/1

Ran better than for a while when sixth of 15 in a better race at Doncaster on latest Flat start and confirmed she's in fine heart with a pair of placed efforts over hurdles at Sedgefield earlier this month.

Form: 540-976

(9)

Happy Chandler^b²⁰

Age: 5| Weight: 8-12| J: Marco Ghiani| T: M Blake| OR: 49

5/1

Maiden set a sound pace when runner-up on reappearance at Bath last time and looks well worth a go over this longer trip.

Form: 85564-2

(4)

Iftikhaar^v⁵⁹

Age: 7| Weight: 8-10| J: Harry Davies| T: J R Jenkins| OR: 47

33/1

Well held in classified company on the all-weather in late-February and his overall strike rate (1-36) makes it easy to look elsewhere.

Form: 088-256

(12)

Shifra⁷⁵

Age: 4| Weight: 8-9| J: Georgia Dobie| T: P Phelan| OR: 45

80/1

Has shown little in either code, shaping as though amiss when pulled up in a Plumpton maiden hurdle in February.

Form: 7/809-

Forecasts

Evelyn's Phoenix (10/3), He's Our Cracker (9/2), Happy Chandler (5/1), Yokkell (11/2), Porter's Song (17/2), Beauty Generation (11/1), Silkies Sib (11/1), Blackwater Lilly (14/1), Not So Sobers (16/1), Shabu Shabu (25/1), Miss Chester (33/1), Iftikhaar (33/1), Celtic Spirit (40/1), Shifra (80/1)

Successful in this grade on the all-weather last month, low-mileage 4-y-o HE'S OUR CRACKER may regain the winning thread with Billy Loughane aboard for the first time. Beauty Generation is on a handy mark but comes with risks attached, while Porter's Song could improve upped in trip on handicap debut.
