Snapped a losing run when emerging on top in an 8.6f handicap here last week. Remains on a very attractive mark under a 4 lb penalty and another bold show likely with Rossa Ryan again aboard.

Regained the winning thread when notching fourth course win during the autumn. Back to form following a 2-month break when runner-up here (8.6f) and should make his presence felt once again.

Made all on second start for this yard at Lingfield (7f) in December and has essentially remained in good form since. On the downside, some of his rivals here are probably better treated.

Added to his impressive haul here with back-to-back C&D victories during the winter and a line can be run through his last runs. Couldn't rule out.

Wide-margin C&D scorer in November and, though more miss than hit since, this 6-y-o has to be taken seriously having slipped back to that winning mark.

Successful twice in turf handicaps in 2025 and while he hasn't managed to trouble the judge in 4 previous all-weather starts, he wasn't beaten at all far when fifth of 10 at Southwell in October. Wouldn't be without a chance, provided he's ready to roll following a break of almost 5 months.

Veteran who rolled back the years when recording back-to-back 7f wins here in January/February. However, the wheels have since come off (barely beaten a rival home on last 3 starts) and looks set for another struggle.

Without a win since his debut back in June 2024 and hopes now pinned on the addition of eyeshields sparking a return to form.

Tumbled down the weights and ended long losing run when landing 6-runner C&D handicap on penultimate start. Did well under the circumstances when fourth of 12 at Southwell recently and makes plenty of appeal off the same mark back here.

Registered first win on the all-weather when emerging top over this C&D 18 days ago. Remains feasibly treated up 4 lb and she should give another good account.

Forecasts

Farasi Lane (5/6), Giorgio M (15/2), He's A Gentleman (8/1), Habrdi (17/2), Pearly Squirrel (10/1), Al Muqdad (10/1), Wolf Of Badenoch (11/1), Highland Olly (25/1), Chifa (25/1), Harbour Vision (33/1), Midnight's Dream (40/1), Cephalus (50/1)

Verdict

HABRDI regained the winning thread over C&D earlier this month and remains on top form judged on his recent display back here, beaten just 2 lengths into fourth after coming from a less-than-ideal position. He shades preference ahead of Farasi Lane, who hit the target over 8.6f at this course last week and this drop back in trip won't be an issue. Fellow last-time-out winner Pearly Squirrel is also likely to be on the premises, while He's A Gentleman is another with claims.
