17/2, creditable fourth of 11 in handicap at Newcastle (10.2f) 15 days ago. 1 lb lower here and he has to enter calculations.
C&D winner. 3 wins from 6 runs this year, the latest here in June. Tenth of 11 in handicap at this course (12f, 14/1) 37 days ago and it's easy enough to look elsewhere.
Winner at Salisbury in June. Visored for 1st time, last of 6 in handicap at Ascot (10f, good to soft, 14/1) 37 days ago. Cheekpieces back on now switched to this surface and he's capable of playing a part in the finish.
Latest win at Newbury in April. 10/1, respectable fifth of 10 in handicap at Epsom (10.1f, good) 15 days ago. One or two of the others make more appeal from a win perspective.
25/1, creditable fifth of 9 in handicap at Pontefract (10f, soft) 18 days ago. Cheekpieces on 1st time and will need to bounce back to something like his best in order to play a leading role.
C&D winner. Creditable third of 10 in handicap (18/1) at Chelmsford (10f) when last seen in June. Each-way claims with Luke Morris doing the steering.
Winner at Windsor in August. 2/1, respectable second of 9 in handicap at Sandown (10f, heavy) 26 days ago. This 3-y-o will be a big player if taking to polytrack at the first attempt.
Lightly-raced maiden. Last of 8 in handicap (9/2) at Sandown (10f, good to firm) on final run for Ralph Beckett in July. Big step forward will be needed if he's to make an impact on this debut for new connections.
Good second of 14 in handicap at this C&D (9/1) 19 days ago, clear of rest. 1 lb nudge for that solid display is very fair and she's high on the shortlist.

Forecasts
Asmen Warrior (9/4), Blast The Dream (10/3), Sir William (7/2), Londoner (9/2), Federated (11/1), Fox Journey (14/1), Sweet Reward (25/1), Charlie's Choice (28/1), Dissident (66/1)
SIR WILLIAM pulled nicely clear of the rest with the well-handicapped winner at Sandown last month and, with the promise of better to come, he is taken to make a winning all-weather debut for his bang in-form yard. He will probably have most to fear from Blast The Dream, who also represents a leading yard and she has been knocking on the door of late. Londoner is third choice ahead of Asmen Warrior and Charlie's Choice.
