Found improvement when runner-up at Chester (7.6f) on return and back to that sort of form when creditable fifth of 11 in handicap (22/1) at Newmarket (8f, good to firm) 30 days ago. Respected

Useful winner for the Gosden stable but lost his way and little encouragement for current yard. Headgear now given a whirl.

Course novice winner last season and runner-up in class 2 events first 2 starts this term. Progression stalled since, however, and others are more convincing.

C&D winner who confirmed promise of previous run when taking 19-runner handicap at York (7.9f, good to firm, 10/1) 14 days ago. 4 lb rise fair and another bold bid is on the cards.

Three-time C&D winner who got back on scoreboard at Doncaster in March and has run creditably in defeat more recently, latest when fourth of 7 in handicap at Sandown (8f, good, 12/1) 15 days ago, nearest finish. Each-way player.

Posted career best when scoring at Carlisle (7.8f) in June and backed that up with creditable fifth of 13 in handicap (11/2) at Southwell (8.1f) 27 days ago. Shortlist material.

Twice a winner at this sort of trip earlier this term but not been in same form more recently, no more than respectable effort when fourth of 8 in handicap (13/2) at Pontefract (8f) latest. Others more persuasive.

Much improved when decisively off the mark in handicap at Hamilton (8.3f) last month. Well below that level, off 9 lb higher, at Goodwood since though and will need more to defy current mark.
