C&D winner. Six wins from 18 Flat runs. Below form seventh of 12 in handicap (6/1) at this C&D (heavy). Off 7 months but does have a good record fresh and is worth a market check on his return.
Lost his way for previous yard and fared no better on first run since leaving Richard Spencer when seventeenth of 20 in handicap (12/1) at York (6f, firm) 15 days ago. Headgear removed but hard to fancy.
Eyecatching effort when shaping much better than the bare result when ninth in a 22-runner handicap at York (7f), denied a run and finishing virtually on the bridle. Failed to build on that in a first time visor (retained) over the same C&D last month. Worth another chance with Tudhope back aboard.
Failed to improve with tongue strap on for 1st time, when fifth of 10 in maiden at Wolverhampton (8.6f) 24 days ago. Makes handicap debut but has work to do from this mark.
All 3 career victories have come on all-weather yet has returned to form on turf with headgear discarded, sixth of 21 in handicap (40/1) at York (7f, firm) 15 days ago, not ideally placed. Should be competitive.
Losing run stretches back 2 years but plenty of solid efforts to his name last term and would have likely matched that form had he not been so keen when fourth of 9 in handicap at Beverley (7.4f, good) 18 days ago. Worth considering from this mark.
C&D winner built on the promise of last run to capitalise on a falling mark when landing a 5-runner handicap at Bath (8f, firm) but not seen to best effect when slowly away back over 7f last time. Others preferred.
Latest win at Newcastle in March. Struggled in class 4 company when 20/1, seventh of 8 in handicap at Newcastle (7.1f) 44 days ago. Back down in grade but yet to prove herself as effective on turf.
One win from 21 Flat runs. Thirteen runs since last win in 2023. 16/1, ninth of 10 in handicap at Southwell (8.1f) 15 days ago. Out of sorts and best to look elsewhere.
Best form on all-weather. Travelled with usual zest but folded rather tamely when eighth of 9 in handicap (9/4) at Wolverhampton (7.2f) 24 days ago (was reported to be lame on his right fore). Remains to be seen if he can bounce back returned to turf with visor refitted.

Forecasts
Amayretto (2/1), Riot (11/4), Beattie Is Back (10/3), Finbar's Lad (10/3), Thapa VC (6/1), Albeseeingyer (10/1), Grace Taufan (18/1), Diligent Henry (20/1), Too Much (20/1), Livio Milo (33/1), Ticktyboo (33/1), Lucky Man (40/1)
RIOT shaped well at York on his penultimate start and he's worth another chance to confirm that promise with Daniel Tudhope back in the saddle. Finbar's Lad looks well treated on the best of his form and could be the main danger ahead of hat-trick seeking Amayretto.
