Major Gatsby^v¹⁷

Age: 4| Weight: 9-8| J: William Carson| T: W G M Turner| OR: 59| CD

12/1

In refitted visor, recorded his fourth success at this C&D when landing 12-runner handicap (5/2) 17 days ago by neck from Liberty Breeze. Remains on a workable mark so he could be thereabouts once more.

Fayasel^p¹⁷

Age: 3| Weight: 9-7| J: Darragh Keenan| T: M Murphy & M Keady| OR: 60| CD

20/1

Below form faced with softer ground on her last 2 starts, tenth of 12 in handicap at Ayr (7.2f, soft, 40/1) 23 days ago. Needs to get back on track as she makes her second start on all-weather.

Daring Guest^t³⁵

Age: 9| Weight: 9-6| J: Connor Planas⁽³⁾| T: Tom Clover| OR: 57| C| D

33/1

Course winner. After 13 months off, probably needed run when fifth of 10 in handicap at Yarmouth (7f, soft, 12/1) 35 days ago. Could take a step forward from that effort returned to all-weather.

Form: 4/6331-5

Guiteau¹⁷

Age: 3| Weight: 9-6| J: Oisin Murphy| T: D J S Ffrench Davis| OR: 59

6/1

Back to form when 1¼ lengths second of 12 to the reopposing Fayasel in handicap (18/1) at this C&D 17 days ago. Still looking for his first win, but could go well again with Oisin Murphy on board.

Wadi Bani^b1,t²²

Age: 3| Weight: 9-5| J: J Mitchell| T: S Durack| OR: 58

Form: 645807

Liberty Breeze^p¹⁷

Age: 5| Weight: 9-5| J: Lewis Edmunds| T: S Whitaker| OR: 56| D

18/1

Produced her best effort of the season when neck second of 12 to the reopposing Major Gatsby in handicap (11/2) at this C&D 17 days ago. Can give another good account with cheekpieces reapplied.

Berkshire Cruz^p,t¹⁷

Age: 3| Weight: 9-5| J: L Morris| T: G Harris| OR: 58

300/1

After 4 months off (had another wind op), shaped as if better for the run when twelfth of 15 in handicap at Windsor (6f, good to firm, 100/1) 17 days ago. Others still preferred, though.

Form: 387-590

After 3 months off, some encouragement on first run since leaving Ronald Thompson when 2¼ lengths fifth of 12 to Major Gatsby in handicap (11/2) at this C&D 17 days ago. Interesting having dropped below her last winning mark.

Forecasts

The Caltonian (8/11), Fayasel (9/2), Guiteau (6/1), Major Gatsby (12/1), Split Elevens (16/1), Wadi Bani (18/1), Liberty Breeze (18/1), Keep Me Stable (20/1), Daring Guest (33/1), Crystal Dawn (33/1), Brave Display (150/1), Berkshire Cruz (300/1)

THE CALTONIAN has been transformed by the application of blinkers and a switch to all-weather, making it back-to-back wins in good style when scoring at this C&D at the beginning of the week. He can go on to land the hat-trick, with Major Gatsby and Fayasel the main dangers as they also arrive on the back of recent C&D victories.
