Verdict

FREE STEP showed much improved form to get off the mark under this rider making her AW debut at Kempton just over 5 weeks ago, the application of first-time blinkers seemingly the catalyst. Provided they have the same effect today, a 5 lb rise in the weights is unlikely to prevent Chris Wall's charge from following up. Maylah is going through a good spell at present so he's feared most, ahead of Thaayer and Hoi An Beach.
