(12)

Catch Cunningham^p²⁰

Age: 3| Weight: 9-13| J: O McSweeney⁽⁵⁾| T: K A Ryan| OR: 82| D

9/2

16/1, career best when winning 15-runner handicap at York (5f, good) 20 days ago. 3 lb rise fair and while more will be needed here, he has to enter calculations.

Form: 200031

(7)

Gunnerside⁴²⁶

Age: 5| Weight: 9-10| J: S H James| T: Grant Tuer| OR: 78| D

12/1

Creditable second of 17 in handicap (7/1) at Musselburgh (5f, good to firm) on latest appearance last July. Subsequent absence is an obvious concern.

Form: 111512-

(1)

Jarvis¹⁰

Age: 3| Weight: 9-10| J: Callum Rodriguez| T: Mrs A Duffield| OR: 79| D

66/1

First run since leaving G. M. Lyons when last of 12 in handicap at Beverley (5f, good to soft, 33/1) 10 days ago. Dangerous if scaling a revival.

Form: 633290

(13)

Good Luck Fox¹⁸

Age: 6| Weight: 9-9| J: P Hanagan| T: P T Midgley| OR: 77| D

3/1

Career best when winning 7-runner handicap (4/1) at Catterick (5f, heavy) 18 days ago. Up another 4 lb but clearly in rude health and has to be respected in this hat-trick bid.

Form: 384911

(9)

May Blossom^v¹⁰

Age: 3| Weight: 9-9| J: Mark Winn⁽⁷⁾| T: D O'Meara| OR: 78| D

8/1

Latest win at Beverley in August. 5/1, good third of 12 in handicap back there (5f, good to soft) 10 days ago, not ideally placed. Place possibilities.

Form: 525173

(4)

Leodis Dream²²

Age: 6| Weight: 9-7| J: D Nolan| T: P T Midgley| OR: 75| D

13/2

Twenty-six runs since last win in 2019. 8/1, respectable sixth of 11 in handicap at Haydock (5f, firm) 22 days ago. Will probably find one or two good once more, including in-form stablemate Good Luck Fox.

Form: 723256

(5)

Firebomb⁶⁷

Age: 3| Weight: 9-7| J: Harrison Shaw| T: B Smart| OR: 76| CD

18/1

C&D winner in April. Third of 4 in handicap (5/1) at Musselburgh (5f, good to firm) 67 days ago. Has fallen to a workable mark, but one or two of these make more appeal all the same.

Form: 1-31543

(3)

Mytilda^h,t²

Age: 3| Weight: 9-4| J: T Eaves| T: Craig Lidster| OR: 73| D

25/1

Eighth of 9 in handicap (20/1) at Pontefract (5f, good) 2 days ago and now finds herself with something to prove.

Form: 014-508

(11)

Vaunted³³

Age: 3| Weight: 9-3| J: Faye McManoman⁽³⁾| T: N Tinkler| OR: 72| D

25/1

Latest win at Pontefract in July. 4/1, last of 4 in handicap at Chepstow (6.1f, good to soft) 33 days ago, slowly away. Opposable.

Form: 441354

(10)

Harrogate³³

Age: 7| Weight: 9-1| J: Connor Beasley| T: P T Midgley| OR: 69| CD

17/2

Three-time C&D winner. Latest win at Nottingham in August. 14/1, fourth of 7 in handicap at Southwell (5f) 33 days ago. 10 lb higher back on turf and he looks vulnerable.

Form: 675014

(6)

Albegone^b,p²³

Age: 4| Weight: 8-11| J: D Fentiman| T: T D Easterby| OR: 65| D

9/1

Respectable seventh of 12 in handicap at Windsor (5.1f, good to firm, 11/1) 23 days ago. Blinkers back on and couldn't rule out given that he's now below his last winning mark.

Form: 593737

(2)

Foreseeable Future^v¹⁸

Age: 7| Weight: 8-8| J: Aiden Brookes⁽⁵⁾| T: Mrs R Carr| OR: 62| CD

10/1

C&D winner. 3 wins from 12 runs this year. Latest win at Windsor in August. Good second of 8 in handicap (8/1) at Leicester (5f, good) 18 days ago. Likely to give another good account.

Form: 321162

Forecasts

Good Luck Fox (3/1), Catch Cunningham (9/2), Leodis Dream (13/2), May Blossom (8/1), Thornaby Pearl (8/1), Harrogate (17/2), Albegone (9/1), Foreseeable Future (10/1), Gunnerside (12/1), Firebomb (18/1), Mytilda (25/1), Vaunted (25/1), Jarvis (66/1)

The vote goes to THORNABY PEARL, who was well backed and duly returned to form when finding just one too good off this mark in first-time cheekpieces at Doncaster recently. Good Luck Fox is accorded respect as he goes in search of the hat-trick and top-weight Catch Cunningham also has decent claims. However, the consistent Foreseeable Future is nominated as the main danger.
