Useful filly who reacted positively to cheekpieces when landing 5f Ayr listed contest (good to soft) in June. Too free when down the field in Group 3 at this track (6f) just under 6 weeks ago and needs to get back on track now switched to handicaps.

Dual 5f winner who made up into a useful filly at 2yrs. However she's developed a tendency to start slowly and while the handicapper has relinquished his grip somewhat, she's tough to fancy on recent evidence. Tongue tie applied today.

Useful sprinter who won twice as a 2-y-o, including over C&D. However she's yet to fire this year and her opening mark hardly looks a gift.

Thriving on her racing in a busy first year with David Evans, notching her fifth success of 2022 with another personal best in a competitive sprint at Windsor earlier this month. A credit to connections, and with Ryan Moore an eye-catching jockey booking, she's fancied to be in the mix again.

Made it 3 wins from her 4 starts for this yard with a career-best performance at Doncaster just under 7 weeks ago, readily having come through from the rear. This obviously much tougher but she could well have even more to offer.

Made winning yard debut at Musselburgh (5f) in June and matched that when fourth in a listed event at Ayr later that month. Not disgraced when fifth at Chester next start but unseated rider over 2f out with her saddle having slipped at Goodwood last month.

Useful filly who was a good ½-length third to Guilded in 5f Ayr listed event in June. However she's failed to beat a rival on both subsequent outings but the handicapper has reacted accordingly and she's dangerous to discount with claimer taking off a further 7 lb off her back.

Hasn't kicked on from her excellent start to the season, down the field in competitive handicap at Newmarket (6f, good to firm) just under 6 weeks ago. Percentage call is to look elsewhere.

Lightly-raced sort took a good step forward when third in the Palace of Holyroodhouse Stakes at Royal Ascot. Run possibly came too soon when down the field over this C&D next time (not ideally placed on the near side also) so she may well get back on track.

Returned with 6f Kempton win in April and looked back on song when a close sixth in Palace of Holyroodhouse Stakes at Royal Ascot last time, a big-field scenario playing much more to her strengths. Each-way claims.

In frame on first 5 starts this season and continued decent spell when fifth at Carlisle just under 6 weeks ago. Visor replaces the usual cheekpieces and no surprise should she run into a place back at this minimum trip.

Won 3 times last season and back to form when second at Thirsk 3 weeks ago. Similar for when third in an apprentice contest at Haydock 10 days ago and while this is obviously much tougher, she's respected nonetheless.

A filly firmly on the up, taking her record to 3-4 this year at Brighton (6f) 12 days ago, impressing with how she moved into contention from well back then holding an in-form rival. This her toughest assignment yet but with further progress likely, she's a must for the shortlist.

Proved better than ever to open her account for the season at this track (6f) last month, arguably worth marking up a little too given she was forced to make her effort more towards the near side. 7 lb rise to contend with today but she may well build on that success.

Verdict

CUBAN BREEZE is thriving on racing for David Evans this year, and now arriving here on the back of another personal best at Windsor earlier this month, she's fancied to notch an impressive sixth success of 2022 with the booking of Ryan Moore catching the eye. Pink Crystal took her record to 3-4 this season last time so she can give the selection most to think about, with Sandbeck and Hellomydarlin another couple worth considering in a valuable fillies' sprint handicap.
