Forecasts

Can Can Girl (7/2), Astroman (4/1), Mercian Hymn (9/2), The Throstles (7/1), Victory Star (9/1), King Charles (11/1), Avarice (12/1), A Legacy (14/1), Paddyplex (16/1), The Sedberghian (33/1), Mr Carbonator (66/1), Top Drop (100/1)

It's worth taking a chance on VICTORY STAR, who has few miles on the clock and may well be allowed to dictate under his promising 5-lb claimer. Paddyplex had been in good order prior to an excusable run last time, so he's regarded as a danger, and Can Can Girl deserves respect having scored at Newcastle earlier in the month.
