Off the mark in weak maiden at Chepstow on reappearance and while her third there next time was a fair effort, she never recovered from a slow start on latest and stiff task giving the weight away here.
Front-runner who improved to the tune of 20lb when winning three times in 2019 including one here. Showed more last time having spent some time in the doldrums and now runs in a 0-60 for the first time over a year ago when successful.
Off the mark when making all to land a gamble at Newcastle but that was over a year ago and now returning from absence against some in-form rivals so has to hit the ground running.
15 race maiden but best form is on the AW and reduced mark puts him in with a shout with first-time eyeshield the new chosen headgear.
Won here in July last year but efforts this term have been mixed and needs to bounce back to figure in what looks a hot contest for the grade.
Not easy to know what he has achieved in three maidens seemingly running to a a similar level on the last two and the chances are he needs to improve for this switch to handicap company.
Sole victory in 29 starts was at Kempton in January but still finds himself 6lb above that mark and others make more appeal here.
All four career wins have been over C&D with another six placed efforts from 24 starts here, but without a win since 2018 and needs to arrest a slide this summer.
Still a maiden after nine runs but has filled the runner-up spot five times including over C&D and comes here off a career best at Leicester last time so entitled to respect.
Hadn't beaten a single rival in first two runs this summer but left the form well behind when forcing in-form rival to pull out all the stops at Beverley last week. A repeat of that off the same mark must see him go close.
Frustrating sort who hasn't won the amount of races he should have down the years and struggling for form this summer so readily passed over.

WADE'S MAGIC pulled out an improved run from nowhere at Beverley and a repeat of that would surely see him being very hard to bear for his stable who are having a tremendous spell and he is a confident selection. The Defiant probably wont have his own way out in front but has to be of interest down to his right grade while the consistent Blue Venture ran well last time and should again make her presence felt.
