Front-runner who likes it here with two wins at shorter. Has won at this trip and disappointing effort on latest (over 1m) was probably not down to stamina as beaten too far out. Type to bounce back.
Sold for 13,500 gns since last run but stays with the same trainer. C&D winner in January and will be happy to be back on this surface as turf form isn't as good.
Poor run at Bath last time and although likely to be happier back on the AW, others make more appeal with his losing run now standing at 18 races.
Both wins were gained here but over 7f and he has tried this trip just once in his career and that was a long time ago. Can be a bit keen so not guaranteed to find it in his favour.
Still a maiden but two of his three runs this term have been among his best (trip too far on other start) so each way claims in his current mood.
Dual winner in 2018 but lightly raced and not in the same form these days having changed hands on a few occasions. Others make more appeal.
Both wins on the AW have been at this C&D and her win 3L two runs ago was most emphatic. Little luck in running on turf since and that run can be forgiven so should play a part back at this venue.
Often well backed and first-time blinkers now replace the usual cheekpieces. Better than shown last time but needs the run of the race from his wide draw.
Goes today without any headgear for a change. Disappointing last time but generally runs his race and the return to the AW is a plus.
All four wins have been gained over 7f (three of them here) and this trip has found him out in the past. Worth a look in the market though.
Running well this season now it looks as though connections have settled on this as his optimum trip. Place claims in an open contest.
Forecasts
Azets (3/1), Prince Rock (5/1), Accomplice (6/1), Gates Pass (6/1), Savitar (13/2), Compass Point (9/1), Kennocha (9/1), Amor Fati (16/1), Fivehundredmiles (25/1), Axel Jacklin (33/1), Plansina (50/1)
Hard to rule many out and a narrow vote goes to AZETS who is better than shown last time out. Kennocha is another who needs to put a below par effort behind her and rates the main danger with Accomplice coming here in good heart, completing the short list.
- Azets
- Kennocha
- Accomplice
