C&D scorer last July and followed up at Uttoxeter in September off 7lb higher mark for Natalie Lloyd-Beavis. Pulled up before 10th over C&D earlier this month on first start for 279 days and has tough task off just 2lb lower.
Southwell 3m novice hurdle winner in 2017 and has been successful between the flags since then. Sidelined for a year since two runs over C&D and has fitness to prove off mark 4lb lower than modest last run.
Ran well a number of times last year without winning. Only success came in 2m7f h'cap chase at Taunton in 2017. Good run C&D recently where led until headed after last off this mark, finishing second. First-time visor now added to sharpen him up.
Winning pointer but a seven-race maiden under Rules. Solid first run for current yard when third over C&D this month, staying on and shaping as though outing would do him good. Has 2lb pull for 4 lengths with Gold Mountain.
Only win came in Kilbeggan 2m hurdle back in 2018. Didn't shine in five starts over timber for current yard last winter and switches to fences having shown no real form to speak of in three chase attempts in Ireland for Denis Hogan.
Modest pointer who showed little in three attempts over fences under Rules over the last two seasons. Lightly raced but is difficult to enthuse over on her belated handicap bow.
Won six point-to-points durng his career but hasn't shone in five attempts under Rules and was tailed off when pulled up in Stratford novice hunter chase March 2019. Had shown a little more in previous runs but has tough task after 419 days off.
Dual 2m4f chase winner in 2017 and won over hurdles in 2018. Returned from near year absence to run creditably when third of 6 in recent Bangor 2m4f h'cap chase, only tiring approaching last. Fair chance if able to improve a touch on that.
1-22 to date, only win coming in Fontwell 2m5f h'cap hurdle in October 2018. 0-6 over fences but has shown some ability. Favourite but only fourth over C&D last time but stayed on from last and will be straighter now off 2lb lower.
Veteran mare with five wins to her name but hasn't hit the target for three years. Absent 11 months but has gone well fresh in past and is 17lb lower than last win. Not out of it if fully wound up.
Five wins over hurdles at 2m5f-3m2f and was third here over fences 3m2f last summer. Trip looks bare minimum these days. Has twice won on first start of season so absence not a great concern off career low rating.
Dual 1m2f Flat winner for Michael Bell but has yet to score in 16 attempts over hurdles and fences. Has hinted he is up to winning off current mark but 11 month absence is a challenge and on balance others make more appeal.
Forecasts
Bubble O'Clock (3/1), Fenlons Court (4/1), Gold Mountain (6/1), Barton Rose (17/2), Ballyknock Cloud (10/1), Gentleman Moore (11/1), Mogestic (14/1), Golden Poet (16/1), Murray Mount (18/1), The Major (20/1), Dido (33/1), Sea Destination (50/1)
The key piece of form here is the C&D race 17 days ago in which Gold Mountain, Bubble O'Clock and FENLONS COURT finished second, third and fourth. They all ran creditably but marginal preference is for the latter who was made favourite but shaped as though the run would bring him on when staying on well to be never nearer than at the finish. Both Gold Mountain and Bubble O'Clock are feared in what might be a tight race. Murray Mount ran with promise on his first start back at Bangor and will be on the premises, while the veteran mare Barton Rose is not out of it after 11 months off as she has run some good races first time out in the past.
- Fenlons Court
- Bubble O'Clock
- Barton Rose
