Lightly raced four-year-old well held in novice events over 7f and 6f last summer and on balance he looks best watched again here too.
22,000gns purchase unraced in January. Brother to 5 winners inc South African 6f Group 1 winners All Is Secret and The Secret Is Out and half-brother to two winners. Speedy pedigree encouraging; market can guide.
Royal Applause newcomer a half-brother to four sprint winners all successful on AW. Yard not known for newcomer successes.
Encouragement in debut at Kempton after slow start and subsequent fourth of seven at Newmarket in warmer contest confirmed that promise. Easier task here and looks the one to beat.
125/1 for debut at Goodwood so in the circumstances his fourth of seven beaten 6¾L was a fair effort. Will need above average progress to make the frame nevertheless.
300,000gns yearling by Muhaarar out of a 6f and 7f winning half-sister to Irish Derby winner Jack Hobbs. Very attractive pedigree and a bold bid is entirely possible.
Fastnet Rock gelding started slowly and was detached throughout when last of 10 on debut at Kempton and can only be watched after that.
Dutch Art newcomer a half-brother to Group-placed 7f 2yo/6f winner Sunday Star out of a 1m2f winning dam. Represents a respected yard so one to note in the market.
Only beaten one rival in two races in which he's been beaten a combined 43½L. No positives to find there.
9,000gns yearling by speed influence Gutaifan a half-sister to three winners. Yard in red-hot form (4 of last 9 at time of writing) so would be foolhardy to rule her out.
Well held on debut at Leicester but despite being too keen she improved here subsequently when a 2¾L fourth of five. More needed here but not a forlawn hope.
Hot Streak filly out of a 6f AW winner. Yard's record with newcomers suggests a watching brief the wisest course of action.
Forecasts
Fresh (6/4), I Am The Secret (5/2), Starman (9/2), Rocky Dreams (17/2), Monsieur Patat (12/1), Ginniano (22/1), Aramis Grey (40/1), Breath Of Spring (50/1), Frankie Jaz (50/1), Trepidation (100/1), Scarborough Castle (125/1), Willingly (150/1)
A chance is taken on the beautifully bred newcomer ROCKY DREAMS for Richard Hannon with those who have raced all quite beatable. The best form on offer does belong to Fresh and he looks sure to go close. Another newcomer, Starman for Ed Walker is also expected to go well.
