Landed Chelmsford 1m2f maiden just over a year ago. Stays this trip but ran far too free on recent return to the fray and will have to settle much better to have a chance here. 2lb lower now.
Very progressive last term winning five times at 1m-1m2f. Didn't break well and in circumstances ran creditable race on return at Chelmsford earlier this month when fourth off same mark. Yard in good form so may not be at all far away.
Handicap debutant after four runs including close second in Chepstow 1m2f novice stakes last May. Well backed and favourite when second in 1m3f Kempton maiden earlier this month and remains open to improvement for yard emerging from quiet spell.
Popped up at 14/1 on first start back earlier this month in Lingfield 1m4f h'cap and failed recently by just a nose to follow up off 3lb higher at Kempton 1m3f. 1lb higher now but still favourably handicapped on pick of old turf form.
Ran as though the outing would do him good when fading fast 1f out at Pontefract on first start this season. Seems best with some give in the ground so any rain would be in his favour and this would be close to his optimum trip.
Won Lingfield 1m2f h'cap in January then placed three times in St Moritz on the frozen lake in February. Returned from break and ran moderately behind Mordred at Lingfield and despite 2lb drop doesn't set the pulse racing.
Won 1-14 for Richard Hannon and wasn't completely disgraced when fourth on debut for current yard at Newmarket on first start following wind surgery, although may have been flattered by racing on favoured side. Eased 2lb since then.
Previous C&D winner but last three successes have all come at Epsom. Runs off 2lb lower than fair fifth at Kempton 1m4f in October and has first start since. Stable fairly quiet though so may improve for the run back.
Only Flat success came over 1m5f in Bath handicap on soft ground in May 2017. Has won over hurdles since then but not seen for over 10 months and will do well to be in the shake-up on first start on level since 2017.

MAIDEN CASTLE is far less exposed than his rivals and with his yard starting to get into gear might just be good enough on handicap debut after finishing second in a Kempton maiden last time. Mordred has been in good form on the AW and if able to convert that to the turf is undoubtedly nicely weighted, while Mayfair Spirit is another who can be given a decent chance having run a solid race after a slow start last time. Buriram may set the pace and they wouldn't want to let him get to much of a lead if the ground eases.
