Not seen since toiling slightly at Brighton in July; had previously shown a deal of promise when winning well at that track in May over this trip; interesting contender if fit after long absence.
Has generally struggled in four starts for new connections; latest effort here over a mile saw him trail in last of 11; on the plus side he has plummeted down the handicap and is near 20lb below his last winning mark.
Made all to win over course and distance two starts ago and another bold bid expected from low draw; could not follow up next time off same handicap mark and up 6lbs here.
Won her maiden over course and distance last year and while putting in some fair efforts subsequently, looked to on the downgrade based on her last four runs; not one to get too excited about currently.
Twice a winner in recent outings over this trip at Kempton; only two pounds higher than last winning mark and generally runs his race; fair chance if running to his best.
Ran a fair race four days ago at Kempton for new connections; has some fair form in the past over this trip and looks reasonably handicapped at present; one for the shortlist.
Makes a rare appearance away from his beloved Southwell; has ability to win races and won over a similar trip to this four starts ago but faltered subsequently; break may have freshened him up and worth a check in the market.
Below form since a Brighton win in the autumn, but he's quickly fallen below that winning mark, and returned to some form on penultimate at Chelmsford; disappointed with blinkers last time; left off now and probably best watched.
Finished last season poorly but had shown plenty of promise at times with wins here and at Brighton; has won first time out in the past but cause probably not helped by wide draw here.
Still looking for her first success and while has shown some fair form on occasions, never looks like winning a race; on the plus side her handicap mark has fallen considerably; first-time tongue-tie may help.
First start for new connections; has been on a downward trend for a long while; possible he may bounce back to form but this will need to be reflected in his price.
Generally inconsistent at a variety of trips and surfaces; best run did come at this track last season but others certainly preferred.
Forecasts
Rivas Rob Roy (4/1), Evolutionary (9/2), Kennocha (6/1), Wilson (6/1), Rajman (6/1), Fard (10/1), Fuwairt (16/1), Sonnetina (16/1), Break The Silence (18/1), Intense Style (33/1), Gonzaga (40/1), Moongazer (66/1)
FARD has the fitness edge over his rivals here and that might be enough to see him return to the winner's enclosure for the first time since September last year. His recent effort at Chelmsford was not spectacular but if that has sharpened him up he may prove too strong for his rivals. Rivas Rob Roy likes to race up with the pace and returns to the place of his last win two starts ago. A reproduction of that effort should see him in the firing line. The lightly-raced Sonnetina is a course winner and if the filly is fit on her return she could run a big race.
- Fard
- Sonnetina
- Rajman
