Requinto gelding bought for 28,000 euros as a yearling makes racecourse debut. Trainer 0-12 with 3yo maidens at this track so is expected to learn plenty form this first start.

Fast Company gelding out of an Efisio mare. Made debut last September and showed little when last of 11 in Wolverhampton 6f maidne. Hard to enthuse over.

Purchased for 10,000gns as a yearling. By Epaulette and is half-brother to two winners, one a sprinter the other a hurdler. Mixed messages on pedigree and will do very well to make a winning racecourse bow.

Not disgraced when sixth on debut at Wolverhampton in February over 6f but didn't build on that when well beaten back there following month. Extra furlong may help but looks one for handicaps further down the line.

By Dream Ahead out of Listed winner who scored at up to 1m2f. Looks the part on paper. Ran green both starts this winter including over C&D on debut. Better effort not out of the question and may not be too far away this time.

Gelded son of Gregorian who has shown very little in two racecourse appearances to date and is very hard to fancy on all known form.

Sepoy colt out of 9f-1m6f winner Went close on debut at Newbury last year when runner-up over 7f. Reappeared after long absence and solid third at Kempton earlier this week after starting slowly. Good chance if recovered from that.

Not knocked about when fifth of 6 on debut at Doncaster last June but beat only one home in 13-runner Salisbury event in August. First start since and market may indicate if improvement is anticipated.

Bungle Inthejungle filly bought for £8,000 as a yearling. Dam fair 2yo 7f winner. Yard not really known for debut winners so quite likley to benefit from this first racecourse experience.
Very well bred Toronado filly out of talented Group 2 1m-1m1f winner. Yard made fine start follow resumption and every chance she will know her job and go very close on this racecourse debut.

Cable Bay half-sister to decent Group 3 7f winner Dan's Dream. Shaped with promise on only start last season when sixth of 20 in Newbury heavy ground 6.5f maiden in October. That experience is useful and she won't be far away.

Age: 3|  Weight: 8-13| J: Daniel Muscutt| T: R Ingram

Heerat filly out of dam who placed at up to 1m4f. May find this plenty sharp enough on her racecourse debut and is difficult to fancy on balance.

Forecasts

Mr Poy (1/1), Lehwaiyla (3/1), Oksana Astankova (7/2), Le Reveur (12/1), Billy The Squid (20/1), Epic Endeavour (33/1), City Escape (50/1), Gherkin (66/1), Itsajungleoutthere (125/1), Crowded Express (150/1), Moment Of Peace (250/1), Raziel (250/1)

Verdict

LEHWAIYLA has a fine pedigree and wouldn't have to be a worldbeater to make a winning start for connections. Her yard has made a good start to the truncated campaign and she appears to have plenty going for her. With the benefit of a promising run last year Oksana Astankova may give the selection most to do. She's from a good family and might win a race or two this term. If Mr Poy is recovered from his solid third earlier in the week he will be thereabouts, while Le Reveur may well be aimed at handicaps shortly but isn't a forlorn hope here on what we've seen so far.
  1. Lehwaiyla
  2. Oksana Astankova
  3. Mr Poy
