On a long losing sequence; now resides on a career-low mark and looks as though he could be building up to something (better than bare result last twice). Slow away on his only start here (finished fourth), could well go close if things fall right.

Five-time course winner (twice over this trip) who is right back to form judged on his last two starts winning over 6f/5f here. Form of his first win has been boosted by the runner-up; sure to make a bold bid off what will be a career-high mark.

Filly in fine form on Fibresand having won twice recently over C&D before failing to cope with the drop to 5f last time (race didn't pan out ideally). Still penalised on this return to 6f (will suit much better), she looks to be one of the leading pl

Various placed efforts on Fibresand but done nothing to suggest that he's up to winning here even in this modest company. Cam in for market support last time but produced a laboured effort over this trip; hard to see him posing a serious threat.

Lightly-raced sort who finished fifth here on her only previous try on the surface in a 5f maiden. Offered little on her handicap debut switched to Tapeta last time; now reverts to 6f but hard to see her making much impression.

C&D win in January snuffed out a long losing run off an 8lb lower mark (appreciated the move back to 6f). Performed well since with his last run coming in a higher grade (0-70) than he needs to contest; often races well off the pace.

Three-time C&D winner but not seen for a while and ran poorly on his last start although that came on the wrong surface (Tapeta) and over the wrong trip (7f). Fallen back below his last winning mark on a return to Fibresand; may just need this.

Quirky sort but is a four-time C&D winner although he's underperforming at the moment despite a rapidly falling mark. Well below anything approaching his best last time; cheekpieces back on but it may need more than that to rejuvenate him.

All four of his Fibresand efforts are very modest running poorly here last time over this trip. Given a break since then and now reverts to cheekpieces off his last wining mark but still has plenty to prove against some in-form Fibresand sorts.

Came to life on his second start for this yard and his Fibresand debut in a lowly (0-50) classified event last time to spring something of a surprise. No doubt that was improved form but he now has to cope with a penalty and better class opposition.

Yet to try this surface and he's starting to look rather a lost cause having shown very little for this yard since leaving Andrew Balding. May have needed his latest run but hardly one to be making excuses for at this stage.

Verdict

Half of the field are C&D winners although some of those will need to find their form again before looking as though they can add to their score here. PUCHITA isn’t one of those 6lb well-in under her penalty she will appreciate a return to this trip where he form figures read 211 after finding things not going her way over 5f last time. Gorgeous General is no stranger to wining here with five course wins to his name and he’ll be a real danger although he does have to cope with a career-high mark as he goes for his hat-trick. Badger Berry has to make some appeal after his C&D win last time but needs to improve again. Madrinho and Le Manege Enchante are two others to note.
