Five career wins on Polytrack; rallied gamely to see off Saikung by a neck in a fillies' handicap at Kempton (1m) in December; far from disgraced in three subsequent starts; remains fairly weighted back off the same winning mark.

Scored on the second start of her career over 7f and after mostly struggling got back to winning ways in narrow success at Lingfield latest. Similar level of performance should see her go close today although consistency not her strong suit.

Retained first-time visor did the trick as she dead-heated at Chelmsford latest where caught on the line. Only 3lb higher so not ruled out although visor not guaranteed to have as big an effect now.

Thrives on the Tapeta at Wolverhampton and rewarded for respected efforts with victory in selling handicap (1m½f) there two runs back. Outclassed in a C&D conditions event last time; drops in class now but still 5lb above win. Others preferred.

Bit of promise over middle distances last year but was well beaten on handicap debut at Lingfield (1m4f) in December. Three good runs on the snow at St Moritz last month, including winning over 1m most recently. Hard to know how that will translate.

Lightly raced and ran better than her finishing position would have you believe when she made her debut for her new yard at Lingfield last month. Down 1lb and may have more to offer on just second start for these connections.

Won four times (7f-1m) for her previous handler Gay Kelleway; clear second best at Newcastle promising but folded tamely there next. Inconsitent and others preferred.

Dropped 14lb since switched to handicaps after a series of moderate efforts. Didn't beat a rival on her first three handicap starts and wasn't much better when mid-division last time. Hard to envisage her building involved that form.

Forecasts

Venusta (3/1), Roman Spinner (4/1), Carnival Rose (9/2), Caen Na Coille (7/1), Lady Alavesa (7/1), Ruby Gates (8/1), Poetic Era (12/1), Torbellino (14/1)

Verdict

Roman Spinner has been running well after two wins in late-2019 and is now off her last winning mark, she is entitled to respect in this line-up. After some disappointing efforts, CARNIVAL ROSE got her head in front in a similar race at Lingfield last time and with just a 3lb rise, she is taken to follow-up. Caen Na Coille ran better than finishing position suggested on her stable debut recently and shouldn't be too far away.
  1. Carnival Rose
  2. Roman Spinner
  3. Caen Na Coille
