Improved on a modest debut to score by 2¾L on the AW at Lingfield (6f) earlier this month. He won going away last time to suggest this step up in trip will not be a problem. One to consider to follow up.

Scored on her debut at Wolverhampton (7f) by a neck as a 33/1 shot. Was unable to repeat that success on her latest start as she came back third of eight at Southwell (7f), beaten by 4½L. One for the shortlist.

Came home at the rear of 12 runners on his sole appearance to date at Lingfield (7f) on the AW last month after going off at 66/1. Will need to take a big stride forward here to be in the mix. Others appeal far more.

Has produced two modest performances so far. He was seventh of 11 at Kempton (6f) on the AW, while he was seventh of 13 on his latest start on the AW at Lingfield (7f) as the 7/2 joint-favourite. Needs to produce more.

Has shaped well on both of his two runs to date without success. He was second of 11 on his opening outing on the AW at Lingfield (6f), while he then came home fourth of 12 at Newcastle (6f) on his latest effort. Open to improvement. Big player.

Has been well held on his two starts. He was sixth of 12 at this course (1m) on his debut. Was unable to build upon that run as he finished eighth of 13 on his last outing at Kempton (1m). Hard to make a case for.

Dark Angel colt who cost 5,000 gns as a two-year-old. His dam scored over 5f and 6f as a two-year-old, while she was second in the Renaissance Stakes. Keep an eye out for any strong market confidence ahead of his first run.

Trapper Shot filly who cost $42,000 as a yearling. Her dam won over 1m in the US, while she is a half-sister to US Grade Two winner Hudson Steele. Interesting newcomer who is likely to be much better with experience.

Kyllachy filly who cost 43,000 gns as a yearling. Her dam prevailed over 1m-1m1½f. She is a half-sister to Breathtaking who was successful at trips between 6f-7f. Best to watch on her debut appearance.

Forecasts

Lexington Dash (4/5), Elmejor (7/4), Lord P (14/1), I Love You Baby (14/1), Good Time Charlie (16/1), Machine Gun (16/1), Bad At Bay (25/1), Kylla Looks (40/1), Krafla (50/1), Francisco Pizarro (100/1)

Verdict

ELMEJOR broke his maiden at Lingfield last time out on the AW and looks capable of more so should be taken to follow up over this slightly longer distance. Lexington Dash has shown promise on both of his two appearances and is likely to be in the mix on this latest attempt, while I Love You Baby is already a winner at this trip and must enter your calculations on the basis of what she has already produced.
  1. Elmejor
  2. Lexington Dash
  3. I Love You Baby
