Not the force of old but managed to score at Lingfield in April off 1lb lower. Two poor efforts here over a mile since returning from summer break and has a bit to prove at present.
Probably best at 6f but has won at this trip in the past albeit at Catterick, a much sharper track. Fair fourth there last time over 6f on heavy ground so not out of it if able to save a bit for the last 100 yards.
Completely lost his way this year running badly all four start and duly dropped a total of 14lb. Beat only one home here last time in first-time blinkers and is very hard to enthuse over in current form.
All four career successes have come on turf and appears far less effective on an artificial surface. Not disgraced when sixth over C&D last time but on balance others make more appeal.
Three-time winner in French provinces but has struggled for most of this year since crossing the Channel. Better last four starts though from falling mark at 6f and 7f so may well be on the premises once again.
Only modest but both wins have come on AW and ran well when second at Wolverhampton last time over this trip. Raised 1lb and won here over mile last year so no stamina doubts in what will be a strongly run race.
17-race maiden who has failed to exploit falling rating but has run creditably when placed twice this year. Clearly hard to win with though and may again find a few too good.
Very modest form in Ireland in six starts for Dermot Weld but did surprisingly well on debut for new yard when second over C&D last time. First-time tongue-tie helped that day and is retained so is respected despite 4lb rise.
Yet to trouble the judge in 16 attempts which have garnered just one place finish. Eased 2lb following latest effort when fly-jumped leaving stalls. Doesn't look one to rely on.
Placed 7-21 but yet to get his head in front where it matters most. Not disgraced when third in heavy gorund in 7f Leicester handicap last time and may again be in there pitching for minor honours.
Seven-time winner, all on turf, but has placed 3-5 on AW. Ran badly last time though over C&D and needs to leave that a long way behind to bounce back to form.
Course and distance winner 22 months ago but nothing since. Ran best race of the year last time however when second here last month and runs again off same mark so has to enter calculations.
Only win in 26 attempts came at Brighton last year over this trip off 15lb higher. Mainly poor form this year but did better latest when sixth here over a mile and not without interest now in first-tme blinkers.

In a race where most of the field are out of form QUEEN MIA is suggested having run well on her first start for her new yard over C&D last time. With the first-time blinkers, Rivas Rob Roy may well be in the shake-up, while veteran Joyful Star is not without a chance after a better effort last time at the end of a disappointing campaign. Snooker Jim, Silk Mill Blue and Someone Exciting are others worth a glance.
- Queen Mia
- Joyful Star
- Rivas Rob Roy
