Gained her second C&D win from three starts at this track this year last time when showing a very willing attitude last time off a career-high mark. Upped a further 3lb more is now required from a difficult wide draw; may prove vulnerable.

Struggling to win at the moment looking to have lost his way for the most part on turf although has shown some glimmers of form on the AW. Now 12 starts since his last win; makes limited appeal from a wide draw.

Without a win since February when winning over this trip at Lingfield but has shown a consistent level of form of late. Didn't fare badly over this trip on turf at Lingfield last time; now with cheekpieces on first-time; better chance than most.

Wasn't winning out of turn when taking a fillies' novice at Lingfield (6f, soft) back in May having already shown some useful form. Drops in grade now having been highly tried in two handicaps since (made little impression in either); drawn wide.

Ex-Irish gelding who this yard are gradually getting to grips with having previously been with Ger Lyons. His poor strike-rate (1-16) isn't that encouraging but he ran well enough on Tapeta (1m) last time; hard to totally rule out.

Confirmed the promise of his previous run when getting off the mark for the season over C&D on his penultimate start. Travelled with little fluency when attempting to follow up at Epsom (had won there before); now needs to bounce back.

Lightly-raced but progressive sort who has already shown his worth here with a C&D win when he was last seen in July (non-runner on turf since then). Should have more to come off a 3lb higher mark, draw makes life more challenging on his return.

Three-time course winner (twice over C&D) his effort this year have been more miss than hit. Found a short run of good form coming to an end last time when unable to lead at Chester; back below last winning mark but others appeal more.

Shaped better than his finishing position shows at Newbury last time in a first-time tongue-tie (removed here) when given plenty to do over 7f. Yet to win this year but capable of some useful form; first time on the AW, could well make an impression.

Rather lit-up by the visor last time but still managed to acquit himself well over 1m1f at Newmarket under an amateur rider; continued his sound run of form. The fact that he generally runs well means that the handicapper has control of him off this

Winner at Redcar off a much lower mark in June he continued in good form after that until disappointing at Windsor last time (not suited by the way the race was run). Returns from a break moving onto the AW in handicaps for the first time.

Failed to meet the expectations the market had of his last time when markedly dropped in grade; hard to say that his season has got going at all. Cheekpieces (first-time) now reached for; on form one of the lesser sorts in this.

Overall has a rather uninspiring profile although his stable are in good form over the jumps. Beat only one home in a Newbury handicap when last seen, returns from a break; not one who could be expected to be amongst the principals.

Forecasts

Molivaliente (9/2), Bounty Pursuit (11/2), Majestic Mac (6/1), Delilah Park (13/2), Ginger Fox (7/1), Maksab (15/2), Invasion Day (9/1), Indian Viceroy (9/1), Indomitable (16/1), Leo Davinci (16/1), Baltic Prince (16/1), Alhakmah (33/1), Azzeccagarbugli (33/1), Jellmood (80/1)

Verdict

A fairly hot handicap for the grade although plenty of the fancied runners have awkward outside draws to overcome. Last-time out winners Bounty Pursuit and Delilah Park would from single-figure boxes be of interest but drawn where they are others are of more relevance. The progressive Molivaliente returns from a break having shown he can operate well over C&D although he to could be better berthed. The Hughie Morrison duo have both secured good starting positions and it won’t be a surprise to see either Majestic Mac or INDIAN VICEROY take advantage with preference from the latter having scored over C&D on his penultimate start. Leo Davinci and Invasion Day are two others to consider.
  1. Indian Viceroy
  2. Molivaliente
  3. Delilah Park
