Becoming expensive to follow, three times a beaten favourite in her last three starts and is basically proving hard to win with. Conditions probably fine and still fairly early days, but she needs to dig in better when the pressure's on.

Old boy is on a very good mark at present and there were some signs at Chepstow last time that he might still have a race or two in him. Has a C&D win to his name, conditions ideal again and he has an each-way shout.

Came good at Wolverhampton two starts ago, winning with a little in hand but couldn't reproduce that at Kempton last time. Not seen out since May, has little turf experience and on balance, others preferred.

Has come back from a very long absence to run moderately in two starts, well beaten over 2m here last time and although the drop back in trip will help, he doesn't look ready to win at the moment.

Only 1lb higher than her last win but has thrown in some very moderate efforts this term. First start for new yard is the peg to hang your hopes on, but others look far more persuasive.

Twice a winner (over 14f) at Wolverhampton in the spring but has put in two lesser efforts since then, and this sharp 12f might not play to her strengths. May still be a bit high in the handicap too.

Ready winner at Windsor two starts ago but couldn't back that up when made favourite at Ffos Las last time, hanging under pressure. Better ground here may help, and it's possible he will bounce back. Not discounted.

Has a win at the track to his name, that coming over 14f here in May, and wasn't beaten too far again here last time out. Worry is the drop back in trip, as he looks a thorough stayer, and he may find others too quick.

Won at Brighton earlier in the month but hasn't been able to find that form in two subsequent starts. However, return of Cieran Fallon in the saddle could prompt a revival, and he's not discounted under conditions that will suit.

No win in 20 starts has to be a concern, but you can't knock her for consistency, in the frame on her last five starts and with conditions ideal once again, there seems no reason for her not to run her race.

Going nowhere quickly at present, well beaten both starts after an absence but at leas this step up in trip will suit and she does have a C&D win to her name if you go back far enough. Possible she could hit the frame at a big price.

Forecasts

Mistress Nellie (3/1), Maroon Bells (7/2), Iballisticvin (4/1), It's How We Roll (6/1), Greenview Paradise (7/1), Born To Reason (7/1), Lady Of York (9/1), General Brook (10/1), Lady Of Authority (12/1), Banta Bay (14/1), Skylark Lady (50/1), Swift Blade (50/1)

Verdict

It's possible that the likes of Born To Reason and It's How We Roll could bounce back from moderate efforts last time and both have a few things going for them, but IBALLISTICVIN looks more solid than the pair of them and with Adam Kirby doing the steering, can get back to winning ways. Mistress Nellie just can't get her head in front but runs her race more often than not, and can pick up more place money. For those that like to take a flyer at a big price, you could do worse than Skylark Lady.
