15:20 Newbury Tue 6 August 2019
Has improved with every run to date, notching victory in 7f Chester maiden before running with credit in 7f Deauville Group 3. That form sets the standard and should be hard to beat despite carrying a penalty.
£18,000 yearling purchase by Gutaifan. Half-brother to 1m winner Red Ensign and another winner abroad. Looks a tough ask on debut but merits betting check.
£38,000 yearling colt who finished sixth of 12 in 6f novice at this track in July. Blew the start that day so probably shaped better than the result suggests. Open to improvement and worth giving a chance.
Dawn Approach colt out of an unraced mare who is a half-sister to the high-class Nathaniel. Strong pedigree is a plus and notable if there is market support.
Maxios colt who is a half-brother to 1m2f winner Simoon and 1m4f scorer Admirals Bay. Likeable pedigree but should come forward from this run no matter what.
Sepoy colt out a multiple Listed-winning mare. Closely related to smart 12f performer Saddler's Quest. Looks more of a long-term prospect over further and yard aren't in the best of form.
Dream Ahead colt who shaped encouragingly when staying-on fifth at Chepstow (7f, good) at the beginning of July. Entitled to come on for that effort and should be thereabouts. Place claims.
Paco Boy colt who was sent off a 66/1 on debut at Salisbury (7f). Not given a hard time when sixth of 13 but needs to step up significantly to be competitive.
Outstrip colt. Offered little on debut at Newmarket (7f, good to firm) when finishing 13th of 14. Unlikely to trouble the judge on the back of that effort.
Charm Spirit filly. Dam was a triple winner on the track up to 1m5f and is a half-sister to the smart Dorcia. Up against the colts on debut but gets weight all round and commands respect.
