Twice a winner of handicaps at Windsor and Bath this season and ran another fine race when narrow second in 1m Windsor handicap last time out. Up 2lb for that run and has a bit to prove over this trip.
Veteran who can be unpredictable but made it two wins from last two starts with gutsy success in 6f Hamilton handicap. Up another 2lb but holds solid claims with apprentice on board.
Below form in two starts for new stable, including when seventh of 10 at Goodwood (6f, good to soft) on most recent start. Tumbling down the handicap but has plenty to prove now.
Consistent performer on the AW and ran respectable second in 7f Chelmsford handicap last time out. Rated 12lb inferior on grass but only has one win from 20 starts and turf form is a concern.
Rattled off a hat-trick last summer and showed signs of a revival when 3l fifth at York (7f, soft) in mid-June. Dropped 1lb and has a chance if bettering that run. Due to run at Ascot 5:45 yesterday.
Found a level of consistency last season, rounding it off with a win at Sandown before making an encouraging reappearance from 304-day layoff at Catterick (7f, good to firm). More needed in this company but entitled to improve.
Improved in last two runs for new yard with hard-fought win at Carlisle followed up by game success at Catterick (Arabian Jazz back in fourth). 4lb higher this time and doesn't have same weight pull with that rival but must be respected.
Raced predominantly on the AW so far (winner at Newcastle in April) but put in career-best performance on turf when third in 1m Carlisle handicap last time. Cheekpieces retained today and is a place contender.
Started the season well with Newbury third but flopped back at that venue when 13th in 7f handicap. Looks exposed and has plenty to prove but back on last winning mark.
Made notable progression from his first two starts when winning 1m Windsor contest nicely in June. Given fair mark for handicap debut and gets weight-for-age from the rest of the field. Leading contender.

The form lines suggest it could be worth following the unexposed horses in this competitive affair, with preference for ASSEMBLED who hasn't been severely punished by the handicapper for his Windsor victory and crucially gets weight all round. Algaffaal put up an admirable performance when third in a similar contest last time and could further progress as he matures and the cheekpieces work once again, while Arabian Jazz's comeback run was eye-catching and is entitled to hold her own in this company provided the 'bounce factor' doesn't play a part.

- Algaffaal
