Continues in good heart and last run when third is working out well. Won't mind what the weather does. First run over the bare 5f and although that isn't a concern, the wide draw is.
Best effort in short career was his third on AW debut at Newcastle but that was in October and hasn't been since. Should have more to come though lay off is a concern.
Three times in the first two from five visits here but turf form not so good of late and losing run on grass now dates back to 2016.
Front-runner who has form here from plenty of visits. Not at his best at Catterick a week ago but capable of bouncing back quickly and no surprise should he do so.
In good heart with a win and a fair second over 6f of late. This is his first ever run at 5f on turf but if the rain comes his ability to stay further will be an asset and is one for the short list.
Followed her creditable fourth from double figure draw here with a win at Ripon. Not quite as good on latest at Thirsk but better berthed here to play a part.
Took advantage of good draw when scraping home in blanket finish here last time but has once again struck lucky with the stalls and could again feature off just a 2lb higher mark.
Won a claimer here last summer. Not at best since pleasing comeback in April though was in too deep last time and will find this grade more to his liking.
AW winner but has struggled on the turf and any rain would also be against. Not hard to look elsewhere.
Claims on his second on good to soft at Wetherby in May last year but not in same form since. Loves soft ground however, and if the rains came would be of interest from the plum draw.
Generally seen on the AW these days and rare run of late on turf at Thirsk a week ago offered little. Others preferred.
Has shown very little in three maiden runs at big prices. Could improve now handicapping but needs to though worth a cautionary look in market.
Bit better at Redcar last time with usual cheek pieces left off (back on here) and needs to eke out more to shed her maiden tag.
Now tries the minimum trip having been seen over trips ranging from 7f to 1m4f this season. Little in the way of ability to date and readily passed over.
Claims if able to repeat her third at Redcar on penultimate start but didn't build on that at Thirsk since and has to prove that wasn't a one-off.
Forecasts
Viking Way (5/2), Ginger Jam (11/2), Oriental Splendour (6/1), Optimickstickhill (13/2), One One Seven (7/1), Alotabottle (9/1), Pearl Noir (16/1), Astrophysics (20/1), Le Manege Enchante (25/1), Shall We Begin (25/1), Newgate Angel (25/1), Robbian (25/1), Raquelle (33/1), Bagatino (50/1), Encoded (50/1)
VIKING WAY has to deal with a drop in trip but comes here in decent form and with a favourable draw commands plenty of respect in a low grade finale. Any rain would make Robbian of interest from the number 1 stall while Oriental Splendour won here last time and a similar effort would put him in the shake up.
- Viking Way
- Robbian
- Oriental Splendour
