Posted a first turf win over this trip at Yarmouth recently and 5lb penalty unlikely to impede him with more to offer in this sphere, however would prefer a faster surface.

Losing run stretches back to October 2017 despite being well handicapped off a now 8lb lower mark. Has struggled in both starts this year and likely remains best watched for now.

Handles any ground on the turf and remains in good form this year with a Kempton win and demoted to second at Leicester two starts back. Ran to a similar level when fifth in a good race for this level last time and can go close again.

Seven-race maiden has proved inconsistent so far. Some promise on season and stable debut on the AW but poor subsequently. Questions to answer back on turf following wind surgery.

Just two wins from 33 starts and remains 1lb higher than the last of them. Struggled to make an impression in two starts this year and others look stronger candidates.

Remains 2lb higher than sole win at Wolverhampton on the AW last December but her form has gone backwards of late. Switches to turf and first-time cheekpieces need to spark a revival.

Infrequent winner but has shaped as though he's running into some sort of form the last twice. Given a chance by the handicapper with 4lb reduction and shouldn't be far away.

Handles a variety of ground and in good form following a Wolverhampton (AW) win with a close fourth off this mark and over this trip at Ripon. Suited by shorter ideally but well handicapped on old form for stable going well.

Won a seller for John Quinn last October and a good second back in handicap company for new stable subsequently. Form has regressed in four starts since and well beaten last twice.

Remains a maiden after 17 starts and form has gone backwards for current yard and has failed to beat a rival home the last twice. Drop in trip may help but hard to make a case for at present.

Eight-race maiden shaped better when third of four on second start for this yard but may have been flattered by a slow pace and a never nearer fifth latest when he looked a hard ride. Extra trip a plus but plenty more needed.

Seven-race maiden but left some poor form behind when a career best second on season and stable debut. Open to further improvement now and can go close if building on the run.

Poor form in six well beaten efforts so far. Down in grade and distance but hard to know what his ideal trip is and plenty of improvement required.

Gained a seventh career success at Newcastle on the AW in November and now 2lb lower. Has struggled for form since and would prefer faster ground on this return to turf.

Just one win from 20 starts on turf despite plummeting in the weights since the last of them in 2016. Returned from hurdling and wind surgery with a fifth in a classified stakes and this requires significantly more.

Verdict

Mullarkey is very much in form and this rates a bit easier than his latest fifth in this grade. Allux Boy wouldn't want a pace too strong over this trip but is likewise going well and on a good mark. Narrow preference though is for RED SEEKER who has joined a good yard and was much improved on his stable debut. Zephyros is never one to get carried away with for win purposes but boasts solid place credentials.
