Steadily getting the hang of racing; 3lb higher than when an all out recent C&D winner; should remain competitive now that connections have established his most suitable trip.
Hasn't really achieved a great deal since returning from a six-month absence, with his recent course second (1m4f) coming in a modest three-runner affair during the much publicised ARC prize money dispute.
Course winner for this rider in April 2018 (1m4f), but just 1-28 overall; returns to action from a five-month absence following wind surgery.
In reasonable shape since the turn of the year, and off the mark at the 15th attempt over 1m4f here last month (made all to beat Top Rock Talula by a neck); holds every chance dropped in trip off a 4lb higher mark.
Tailed-off (hasn't beaten a single rival) in two starts for this yard and generally unconvincing overall (1-26); dropping in the weights and yet to prove that he truly relishes AW racing; look elsewhere.
A four-time winner from 45 starts; 2lb higher than when gamely fending off River Cafe by a neck over C&D in September; broadly consistent thereafter and now returns fresh from a 112-day break.
Yet to race on an artificial surface (0-5), but is a half-brother to the 7f AW winner Domitilla; has fallen 7lb since introduced to handicapping; visor applied for the first-time, so the reasons are plentiful for an improved performance.
Got the splits at a crucial stage when a narrow 12/1 C&D winner on his second start in handicap company in January; couldn't get competitive from a poor racing position at Kempton latest; of some interest.
11-race maiden under NH rules; 0-3 on the Flat, albeit that was to be expected given the company that she has kept (novice contests); making her handicap debut (a more suitable assignment); others still much more appealing.
Hit and miss; perfectly capable when on song as demonstrated when winning a Classified Stakes race over the extended 1m1f trip at Wolverhampton in January; has blazed the trail on his last two visits to Lingfield (& weakened).
In 'peak' form at Chelmsford (1m2f) during the month of November - scoring off a 3lb lower mark; not so effective since and just 1-16 overall.

Subliminal (2/1), Cold Harbour (9/2), Amaretto (5/1), Tesorina (6/1), Widnes (8/1), Sosian (8/1), Caledonia Duchess (10/1), Diamond Reflection (16/1), Cat Royale (16/1), Hidden Dream (20/1), Orobas (20/1), The Celtic Machine (25/1), Golconda Prince (33/1), Oborne Lady (33/1)
An unappealing low-grade finale. There are number of more obvious horses to consider than the selection AMARETTO, including the fairly recent C&D scorers Cold Harbour and Subliminal, whilst others on the shortlist include the dropped in trip Tesorina and the returning Cat Royale. However, we'll take a punt on the Jim Boyle-trained runner who sports a visor for his AW debut, and helpfully has already been eased in the weights by the handicapper despite having relatively few miles on the clock (0-5 on turf).
- Amaretto
- Subliminal
- Tesorina
