Horse A-Z
Sea The Stars colt related to seven winners including Prix Vermeille winner Baltic Baroness. Represents a top yard whose juveniles continue to thrive, but, despite a Derby entry, jockey bookings suggest Star Catcher has been showing more.

Has made little impression in either start and yard 1-44 with this age group in 2018. Faces an uphill task.
Nathaniel half-brother to 2-y-o 6f winner Sanandaj and 6f-1m winner Miss Osier. Already gelded and nothing to shout about in either start.

20,000 gns son of Australia out of a well-related more who was a winner over 1m3f, but who has failed to produce a winner from her first four foals.

Related to some smart performers including Ribblesdale winner Hibaayeb. Looked in need of the experience on his Wolverhampton debut and now a question of how much he learned.

4/1
Front-runner who has been willing enough when challenged but has just found one too good at Musselburgh and Goodwood. Had a contested lead last time when failing to stay and the drop back to a mile suggests he will be asking all the questions here.

Relatively cheap Mamool colt and the first foal of a minor winner. Stable 1-16 with this age group since the beginning of November.

Dalakhani colt that cost 75,000 gns as a yearling. Brother to decent stayer Yorkidding and half-brother to several other winners. Has shown little thus far but handicaps are an option after this.

Runner-up on second start when conditions were soft, but has not progressed from that effort. Stable having a quiet month (1-31).

Daughter of Point Of Entry who cost £42,000 as a juvenile and is bred to be suited by an artificial surface. Shaped with promise here on debut and then had to race wide at Kempton Has another wide berth to overcome here..

Universal filly that was a very cheap purchase at just 800 gns. Half-sister to Razin' Hell who's at his best on Fibresand as was her dam. Beaten a long way on debut and this looks just as tough a race.

Horse silk
4/5
Daughter of Sea The Stars cost 240,000 gns as a foal and a half-sister to Grade 1 winner Cannock Chase and Group 2 winner Pisco Sour. Stable juveniles in great form and she looks an intriguing debutante.

Forecasts

Star Catcher (4/5), Baltic Song (7/2), Mister Chiang (4/1), Emma Point (16/1), Amorously (16/1), Into The Zone (20/1), Holy Kingdom (20/1), Paradise Boy (33/1), Rich Cummins (40/1), Brooklyn Boy (66/1), Drumshanbo Destiny (66/1), Hideaway (66/1)

Verdict

In form John Gosden is well-armed in this with two nicely bred sorts in Star Catcher and Baltic Song who are worth noting in the market. MISTER CHIANG sets a reasonable standard on form and the drop back to a mile will see this front-runner asking serious questions of his less experienced rivals. Emma Point and Into The Zone are others to consider, but Amorously and Paradise Boy represent yards that have been quieter of late.
  1. Mister Chiang
  2. Star Catcher
  3. Baltic Song
