Penalised for a workmanlike claiming hurdle win in France (2m2f+ very soft) for Emmanuel Clayeux; upped in trip for UK/stable debut; remains unexposed.
Beaten just under 14L (fourth) by Goldencard on hurdles debut at Kelso (2m, good) in October; capable of better with that initial experience under his belt, but encounters a half-mile longer trip and forecast easier ground today.
Bought for £100,000 at the Goffs Aintree sale of 2018 after winning a 3m Dromahane maiden (soft to heavy) for Colin Bowe; far from disgraced in a strong event at Carlisle (2m4f) on hurdles/stable debut just over a fortnight ago.
Cost £8,000 as a 4yo; has shown little in the way of obvious ability in a couple of bumpers, including latterly at odds of 80/1 at Sedgefield (2m1f, good to firm) in October; plenty more required on hurdles bow.
Bought for £16,000 in August 2018 (twice placed in Irish PTP's); unseated rider early on hurdles/stable debut at Kelso in October before a clear round and a second placed finish behind 1/9f Scheu Time at Ayr (2m); up in trip.
Reasonable pedigree (dam an unraced half-sister to Skipthescales); mid-division finish behind a short odds winner on Sedgefield hurdles debut (2m5f); should win races with more experience, but this looks to be a fraction too competitive.
Disqualified after winning a 3m Belclare PTP in March (prohibitive substance in sample); finished a poor third (on stable/rules debut) to the exciting Windsor Avenue (Brian Ellison) in a C&D maiden 12-days ago.
Fruits of Love mare who has appeared to be a very moderate performer so far (0-3 over hurdles); off the track since mid-July, so all things considered can't be expected to figure prominently.
Carries the Trevor Hemmings silks (as per Hill Sixteen); distance winner of a 3m Dawstown mares' maiden in May (yielding to soft); weakened quickly after racing prominently on rules debut in an Aintree bumper in October; makes a hurdles switch.
Had wind surgery (also wears a tongue-tie); half-sister to three winners including Shotgun Paddy; starts off her life under rules for Lucinda Russell after running out an easy 8L winner of a Necarne PTP (3m, yielding) in May.
Cost £7,500 as a 3yo; low-key in both starts in bumpers; needs to find masses of improvement for the fitting of a tongue-tie in order to play any realistic part on hurdles/seasonal debut.

Miss Batten is an interesting hurdles newcomer for Lucinda Russell and she's most certainly bred to stay as a half-sister to the useful Shotgun Paddy (amongst others), whilst the penalised Enfin Phil is something of an unknown commodity on these shores after winning a 2m2f+ claiming hurdle at Vichy in September. However, the horse who makes significant appeal is the Trevor Hemmings-owned HILL SIXTEEN. He cost £100,000 earlier this year (from Colin Bowe) and posted a thoroughly respectable hurdles/rules debut at Carlisle when finishing a close up third to the still unbeaten Nigel Twiston-Davies-trained One For Rosie.
