Good effort at York last month when 2L behind stablemate Copper Knight (runs in previous race). Below that level since, but not ruled out if he can bounce back.
C&D scorer on soft last time out. Up 4lb for that, but claims of a successful follow up with useful 5lb now claimed.
In good form for David Barron earlier this year, but 5lb rise for a win on his last start for that trainer, plus a rise in grade, found him out on stable debut last time. Bit to prove now.
Ran well over 6f at Kempton three starts ago. Below par since, but not difficult to see him producing better not slipping another 2lb.
Beaten 1L by Hawaam over C&D last time. Now 3lb better off for that, plus a 3lb claim. Has to be taken very seriously.
Up 4lb for scoring at Ripon (5f, good) last time out. Record suggests she will need improvement to cope with that at this level, but not ruled out each-way.
Comfortable winner of a 0-70 at Hamilton (5f, good to soft) when last seen in May. Up 7lb for that, in better company and record when fresh not ideal. Improvement needed to follow up.
Completed a hat-trick in April, including over C&D (good to soft). 1lb higher than that here, but recent efforts suggest he has each-way claims at best in this field.
Arrives in good form, having scored at Sandown (5f) and gone close from this mark last time out at Brighton (5½f, good). Should be right in the mix.
Scored for the first time since his debut when tried in a 0-70 Bath handicap (5½f, good to soft) last time out. 5lb rise and better grade here. Improvement needed if he is to follow up, but enters calculations.
Landed a maiden handicap at Redcar (5f, good to firm) in June, when 2lb lower. Ran well at Beverley (from 2lb higher than today) next time. Not quite as good since, but not ruled out if at his best.
Profilic winner over this trip, whose best form has been shown on slower ground. Has won on good, however, and is well handicapped on 2017 form, so not ruled out.
Back on the same mark as his last win at Leicester in June. Well held in all starts since. Not written off, but plenty now to prove.
Yet to win a handicap. Back in better form last time at Chelmsford (5f, AW), when trying cheekpieces for the first time. They are retained, and from the same mark, he has each-way claims.
1lb higher than when notching the second of her back-to-back wins at Lingfield in the spring. Claims if at her best, but will need to be better than at Goodwood last time.
Has won three of her last five starts, including at Brighton last time from 2lb lower. Up in grade here, so more needed, but each-way player.
Forecasts
Our Oystercatcher (9/2), Show Palace (11/2), Hawaam (6/1), Gnaad (7/1), Samovar (10/1), Bahamian Sunrise (10/1), Bossipop (16/1), Rockies Spirit (16/1), Machree (16/1), Bellevarde (16/1), Our Lord (16/1), Wrenthorpe (20/1), Amazing Grazing (25/1), Broadhaven Honey (28/1), Dirchill (33/1), King Crimson (100/1)
A wide open sprint handicap, where Hawaam will be popular after scoring over C&D last time and Bahamian Sunrise, who is 3lb better off with him for 1L, another for short-lists. Bossipop would go close if at his best again, while others of interest are Machree, Amazing Grazing and Our Oystercatcher. However, GNAAD arrives in decent form and today could be his turn.
- Gnaad
- Bahamian Sunrise
- Our Oystercatcher
